Y’all can you believe October is here already?! We’re currently still in Italy but I’ve heard Dallas is actually starting to cool off and I’m SO excited for that. There really is something so magical about the air getting crisp and cool again and making crock pot meals and wearing flannel with suede booties.
Speaking of suede…I wanted to share with y’all two of my favorite trends for fall right now. Before I talk about those though…if you ever have a hard time knowing what’s “on trend” for Fall…did you know Nordstrom has a Fall Trends page?! I love it! Each season they will call out around 5 trends and then consistently update the site with new product that falls into those trends!
Onto the trends I’m loving: all things lace-up and suede! This lace-up sweater is one of my favorites for fall just because it’s such a great basic that you can throw on all the time. I also love that it’s loose and not bulky. Sweaters can be so hit and miss and this ones got a great, feminine and flattering fit! This lace-up sweater also comes in 3 colors!
We started seeing the lace-up trend this past summer and it’s totally carrying over for fall. From a great lace-up sweater, dresses, heels, booties…and everything in between. I love this trend because I think it just adds an extra element to what would normally be a basic tee or a basic sweater. It adds a feminine detail and shows a little more skin without being too revealing! A few other lace-up pieces I’m loving:
Another trend I’m crazy about for fall is suede! Obviously suede isn’t necessarily a ground-breaking trend and has been around forever, but I think it’s even more of a trend this season because we are seeing it everywhere. Jackets, booties, handbags, and suede skirts. Love! These suede booties I’m wearing in these photos are under $100 and will go with EVERYTHING in your fall wardrobe!
