I don’t know about you but I am CRAZY about the lace-up trend that’s been going on for a while now (and I think it’s here to stay)! I love it because a lace-up top and be super feminine or formal, but you could also make it more sporty like I did here by pairing this lace-up sweater with adidas sneakers! (Bonus: this lace-up sweater is under $60 and comes in tons of colors!)
I also love this lace-up sweater because it’s great in the winter with jeans and OTK boots, but it’s also adorable in the spring paired with cut off shorts and peep toe booties or sandals! Also want to call out tons of things in this outfit that are super budget friendly: lace-up sweater is under $60, sneakers are under $100, sunnies are $60, and this bag looks designer but it’s only $55!
On another note, I wanted to share something with y’all really encouraging that I feel like the Lord’s been speaking to me about lately. Michael and I are officially living in Boulder (YAY) and made the 15+ hour drive up here on Sunday. I drove in my car by myself (with Beau!) and Michael drove the moving truck. 15 hours is a LONG time to be by yourself, but it honestly was the sweetest time of prayer and just talking to God about this new adventure.
When I was praying, I was just asking God to give us peace about this move, and kind of pouring out any fears I had about it. The Lord instantly reminded me of two verses…one is Romans 8:31 “If God is for us, who can be against us?”
He reminded me that He is FOR us – He is FOR our joy and peace in this new season, so I have nothing to worry about! He is FOR us finding community and a church and adventure and growing in our marriage and love for Him. He is FOR all of those things, and there is so much peace in that.
He is also reminded me of one of my favorite verses – Eph 3:20-21 (the one in my instagram bio!) “God can do anything, you know—far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!”. So, He’s not going to call us to this new season for it to be a season of just “meh, that was okay”. He can and will do SO much more with this new season than we could ever ask or imagine!
So, if you’re going through a season of doubt or uncertainty or newness, just remember those two things…1) God is FOR you! and 2) He can do infinitely more than we could ever ask or imagine!
