If you follow me on instagram or snapchat (laurenkay2), you were definitely victim to my overload of posts from our trip to Excellence Playa Mujeres last week! This resort had been on my bucket list for a long time, so today I’m super excited to share my Excellence Playa Mujeres review with you guys!

Excellence Playa Mujeres is an all-inclusive resort in Cancun, Mexico. If you’ve never done all inclusive before, or haven’t had a great experience with it…let me tell you, Excellence does all-inclusive RIGHT. They definitely know what they’re doing. The food and drinks were absolutely amazing.

(This was the tequila club that I ordered at the pool! SO yummy). The resort has several restaurants you can pick from for dinner. We were there 4 nights and ate at the Tapas restaurant (Flavor Market), the Mexican restaurant (Agave), the Hibachi restaurant (Spice), and the steak house (The Grill). We were SO excited to try the French restaurant (Chez Isabelle) because we heard from everyone how amazing it is, so we saved it for our last night. Much to our dismay though it ended up being closed that night! So, make sure you check the schedule when you’re planning your dinners!
We loved every one of our dinners. Our favorites were definitely Agave and Spice! We also had the breakfast buffet every day and it was SO good. Tons of options and everything tasted so fresh.
We went to the resort’s spa (Miile Spa) one day for a massage and the aqua therapy they offer and it was amazing. The spa was truly an oasis, and I’ve never done anything like the aqua therapy before but it was so relaxing. If you get a massage there, I’d recommend doing the aqua therapy beforehand!
We stayed in a junior swim up suite for our room and loved it. (Sorry forgot to get pics of the room! You can see them online though). The room was super spacious, had really nice king size bed, and a jacuzzi tub! It was also so convenient being able to just walk out our front door and go straight to the pool or the beach.
One of my favorite parts about Excellence was the service. All of our waiters and bartenders were SO friendly and super fast. They remembered our names, which is so impressive because there were tons of people staying at the resort. They knew we were celebrating our anniversary, so they made our stay extra special with things like a romantic dinner, rose petals in our room, and more.
I also wanted to round up the swimsuits I wore on the trip for y’all, just in case you’re also heading somewhere sunny soon!

In case you couldn’t already tell…overall we had the best experience at Excellence Playa Mujeres. Food was amazing, beach was beautiful, the resort was super romantic…aaaand I’d go back tomorrow if I could haha. If you go, I’d definitely recommend staying a minimum of four nights if you can! If we could’ve stayed longer, we totally would have!
