Michael and I escaped the cold last weekend and enjoyed 4 warm and sunny days in Jamaica! I don’t know about you guys but I LOVE the feeling of not having to do my makeup on beach trips. Your skin has some more color to it, and the vitamin D from the sun always does wonders for my complexion! While we were there, I wore very minimal makeup, but brought along 3 things that give you that perfect “no makeup makeup” look for spring and summer!
one // laura mercier tinted moisturizer [oil free]
This is a tried and true product for me. I started using it at least 5 years ago, and always come back to it – especially in the spring and summer! I always bring this tinted moisturizer on beach trips with me, especially, because it has SPF 20 in it! If you don’t know this already, you should pretty much never leave the house without SPF on your face – no matter what time of year!

Specifically for the beach though (or just summer in general), I love this tinted moisturizer because it’s SO lightweight. It seriously feels like you have nothing on your face. Your face just feels hydrated and has a much more even complexion with it on! I like the oil free one because I have kind of combination skin…but if you tend to have dry skin, you might like the original version better! During spring and summer, when my complexion is feelin good, I’ll wear this tinted moisturizer by itself as my foundation and the coverage is perfect!

two // laura mercier velour extreme matte lipstick
Don’t let the words ‘matte’ or ‘lipstick’ scare you away from trying out this AMAZING lip color! It goes on so smooth and feels SO good on your lips – it’s not drying at all, and the color stays on for hours. I got it in two colors: “queen” and “it girl” (I’m wearing “it girl” in the bathing suit photos – it’s a really fun bright pink. I’m wearing queen in the pajama photos – a fun berry pink for summer!).

I love this lipstick for spring because the colors are bold, but it doesn’t stain your lips in the bad way that most lip stains do. It feels hydrating and is easy to put on. Everytime I was wearing this lipstick in Jamaica and got on insta stories, I got SO many DM’s about the lip color! It makes a statement but still looks fun and feminine!

If you’ve been following me for a while, than this product is not new to you! I’ve posted about it several times on instagram stories because it is a makeup game CHANGER. There are a million amazing reviews about it online, and for very good reason. This setting powder will make the above tinted moisturizer I talked about stay on all day. This setting powder gives you such a flawless, semi-matte finish. I also like to press a damp beauty blender into the powder and use it to set my under eye concealer! This setting powder is one of my spring makeup essentials because it makes your makeup last all day, yet still gives you that natural spring glow!
