go-to travel bags
Hi friends! Whether you’re a brand new follower or someone who’s read the blog for years, you’ve probably noticed that Michael and I have been doing quite a bit of traveling lately – and we absolutely love it! Yes, it can be exhausting being on the go so much, but it really has been an incredible opportunity both for us and the blog (yes, most of my travel is for work!). I’ve gotten a ton of questions lately about my luggage and what bags I love for travel, so today I wanted to share all my favorites with y’all! Everything from carry-ons to cosmetic bags to suitcases – I’ve found so many great go-to’s for traveling!
With as much traveling as we do, I finally feel like I’ve gotten it down to a science. My mom asked me this past weekend when we were heading to Vail for a quick trip “you must be really good at this now – packing quickly,” and not to toot my own horn…but I think I am! Practice makes perfect haha. Something that’s helped me tremendously with packing is having the perfect travel bags – whether that’s luggage or makeup bags.
I LOVE this set of cosmetic bags and use it for every single trip we go on. In the bigger one, I have all of my toiletry + hair items – deodorant, toothbrush, shampoo/conditioner, etc. In the smaller bag, I put all of my skincare items. The quality on these bags is amazing – I’ve had mine for 2 years and they are still in brand new condition…and they also pack really well.
I found this Rebecca Minkoff makeup bag after what’s felt like a life long journey in searching for the perfect makeup bag and haven’t changed ever since. I love that it has an outside zipper pouch (which is where I keep smaller things like mascara or eyeliner), and I think it’s just adorable!
I got this duffel bag a few years ago and it is the PERFECT ‘personal item’ for a plane. It’s not very big but it can fit SO much stuff in there. I love the quality of the bag and the neoprene fabric. You can also use this bag as a gym bag!
I get alot of questions about which luggage I prefer – Away or Calpak. I honestly love them both and think you can’t go wrong with either. In my personal opinion, I’d say the quality of Away is slightly better than Calpak. I also love that Away luggage has a phone charger attached to the carry on bag (which you can also detach if airlines have an issue with that).
Hopefully this round-up of my favorite bags for travel helps you get ready for your next trip. We are jet setting off to somewhere I’ve never been tomorrow and I can’t wait to show y’all! Thanks for reading!
