Ever since I can remember, I’ve loved clothes, fashion, shopping…and anything to do with those 3 things. I know a lot of women who find shopping stressful and overwhelming, and I’m definitely not one of those people! (Hence why I have a fashion blog haha). However, the month of April has maybe been the busiest month of my entire life. We closed on a house (and had a lot of drama involved with that), had a few trips to Dallas, moved, I had a local event in Boulder, and also held two closet sales in Boulder for my followers to come to (which was a blast by the way!). SO, the luxury of being able to shop for outfits I really needed or really loved was just not in the cards these past several week!PIN IT
I first heard about Trunk Club a few years ago, but didn’t have a huge interest in trying it since I enjoy shopping for myself. But, I tried them out for the first time in April since I personally didn’t have time to shop for a few events I had…and let me tell you, my experience with them 100% exceeded all of my expectations! Before I give you my full Trunk Club review, I’ll explain what it is for those of you who might not be familiar.
So Trunk Club is a Nordstrom company – meaning they carry all of your favorite brands and on-trend pieces for your wardrobe. Basically how it works is you get your own stylist, who reviews your profile (you answer a few questions on their site so they can get to know your style and needs), and your stylist will put together a box or a “trunk” for you with 10-12 items based on your profile! They will also tell you how to put together the outfits and mix and match the pieces. If you want to keep everything in the trunk you can, and you’ll just be charged for what you keep, and there’s a $25 styling fee. But if end up not wanting to keep any of it, you can also just send the trunk right back!
To be honest, this idea kind of stressed me out at first because I am so picky when it comes to clothes, and I wasn’t sure someone could really pick stuff out for me that I would love. But Dean (my stylist) sent me SO many amazing pieces that I truly love! I told him that I had a Dallas trip planned and I needed outfits for a few meetings that I had, and that we were also doing family photos and described what I needed for the photos. He nailed what I needed. He sent me some of my favorite brands like Madewell, Vince, and AG Denim.
Probably what I love most about Trunk Club is that my stylist sent me pieces that I never would’ve thought to pick out for myself, but I ended up loving. Like this jumpsuit for example – I probably never would’ve picked this up at the mall or thought to pair it with these Vince sandals…but since it was in my trunk and he told me how to wear it…I loved this look and loved branching out a little bit, while still staying true to my style!
Something else I loved about my Trunk Club experience was the e-mail I received once I got my trunk, telling me all the different ways I could style the pieces he sent! This is what the e-mail looks like (except it showed 8 complete looks! I’m just showing y’all 3 of them):
This allowed me to style the looks both for work and play – I could wear some of these pieces for church on Sunday and then pair with a different jacket or shoes and wear it to brunch with my girlfriends! This is a great way to really get the most bang for your buck out of your wardrobe!

So, whether you are someone who loves to shop but maybe wants to branch out, or you’re a busy mom with zero time to shop, or you’re a business woman who needs some new chic work looks…I really think Trunk Club has something for everyone! I had such a great experience with them and I know y’all will too! Thanks for reading!
