One of the most commonly asked questions I receive is typically related to Denver – where to stay, what to do, etc! I’ve shared a few blog posts before with fave spots in Denver, so make sure to check those out. But today I’m excited to share a new Denver hotel with y’all that we love! [The hotel isn’t new, it’s just a new one for us haha]. I’ll be sharing all about the Brown Palace hotel as well as a few fun things to do for a weekend in Denver!

Brown Palace Hotel & Spa is located right in downtown Denver and the location is SO convenient! You can walk to 16th street mall, Union Station is just a mile away, and there’s tons of other shops / restaurants close by. When we stayed at Brown Palace, we went to Union Station for a Flywheel class, lunch at Whole Foods, and just walking around Union Station (it’s such a fun area). We also shopped at Cherry Creek Mall which is maybe a 15 minute drive, and saw a show at the Denver Center for Performing arts (less than 10 minutes from the hotel). We got dinner before the show at Sushi Den which I highly recommend if you like sushi!
The Brown Palace is one of the most stunning hotels I’ve ever seen! You’ll know what I’m talking about the second you walk into the lobby. The hotel has an old, classic charm to it (been around since 1892) but it’s also feels like total luxury at the same time. We were treated with the best service by every single person who worked at this hotel – from the concierge to the valet to the waiters at restaurants.
Speaking of restaurants – Brown Palace has six unique restaurants and bars on property! We ate at two of the restaurants, and also got a drink in the lobby before dinner one night…and truly LOVED all of the food / drink we had here. One really cool aspect of Brown Palace is the Afternoon Tea they offer everyday in the lobby. Complete with herbal teas, scones, and finger sandwiches, their Denver tea room provides guests the opportunity to witness the unique longstanding tradition that is afternoon tea in Denver! With Devonshire cream shipped directly from England and live music from a pianist or harpist, this is truly an experience you won’t want to miss out on!
Our dinner at Palace Arms was such an incredible experience. We did the 6 course tasting menu and it was amazing – from the food, to the service to the presentation, we were blown away. Michael enjoyed the wine pairings with his 6 courses, and we’ll definitely need to go back after baby girl is here so I can enjoy that too haha. But this is a perfect restaurant for any anniversary celebration, special date night, or anytime you’re in the mood for incredible food and amazing service.
We had brunch on Saturday morning at Ellyngton’s and both loved our meals + the restaurant itself is stunning! We split the steal cut oatmeal brulee to start and it was the best oatmeal I’ve ever had. And their almond milk latte was magical!
Brown Palace also has a spa on property where we enjoyed a 50 minute couples massage!

Our room at Brown Palace was spacious, clean, luxurious and comfortable. We both slept like babies both nights and loved the view of the city from our room. The room (like the rest of the hotel) has a kind of old wold charm to it, while still feeling like total luxury!
If you’re planning a trip to Denver, I highly recommend looking into Brown Palace Hotel for your place to stay! They will take such good care of you, and it truly is an experience you won’t forget!
