I always joke with Michael that if we were to ever live anywhere else other than Colorado (and Dallas, where we’re from), it would be Santa Barbara! It is one of my all time favorite places in the world, and if you haven’t been yet, you should definitely plan a trip! Michael and I just got back from 4 nights in SB to celebrate his graduation. We went all out and stayed at Four Seasons Santa Barbara and let me tell you. It’s one of the nicest, most beautiful, dreamiest resorts we have ever stayed at. Today I want to recap our stay at FS Santa Barbara with you and share why this was such a special trip that I’d encourage all of you to take at some point!
First of all, Four Seasons Resort The Biltmore Santa Barbara is located in a PRIME spot, just steps away from Butterfly Beach, which is one of the most beautiful beaches in California. You are slightly removed from the hustle and bustle of downtown, but still just a 5-10 drive to the infamous State street in Santa Barbara – with tons of great shopping, wine tasting rooms, and great restaurants! This truly is the IDEAL location for a Santa Barbara vacation!
In the first photo of this post, you see the STUNNING room we stayed in (me, Michael and Shiloh). This is actually their honeymoon suite and it was so beautiful! The suite was massive, with a living room, two bathrooms, and a huge master suite. And everything was lavender! One of the prettiest hotel rooms I have ever stayed in. It was so comfortable for the 3 of us. FS Santa Barbara was also VERY accommodating for a baby! They provided us with a crib, and also surprised us with a little gift for Shiloh – a bib and adorable onesie! Their staff was SO sweet and constantly asking us if we had everything we needed for the baby. We’ve stayed at a lot of hotels with Shiloh and I gotta say…Four Seasons Santa Barbara was one of the most baby-accommodating hotels I’ve ever stayed at.
The fig tree above is one of the largest in the state of California and on the Four Seasons property!
Not only was our room breathtaking, but the grounds of this property are out of this world beautiful. There are gardens all around the property, a putting green, an area to play croquet, and perfect landscaping around every corner. I couldn’t stop taking photos the whole time we were here because everything looked like a painting. There’s so much to do in Santa Barbara, but it was honestly hard to leave our hotel because this property is HUGE and absolutely STUNNING. If you come to Santa Barbara, even if you’re not staying at the hotel, I highly recommend you come see this property one afternoon!

I also want to talk about the amazing FOOD at this hotel! They have 3 restaurants – Tyde’s (seafood restaurant overlooking the ocean), Ty lounge (great tapas!), and Bella Vista (italian – open for breakfast lunch and dinner!). We ate at all 3 restaurants and LOVED every single one. Our first night at Four Seasons Santa Barbara, we got tapas at Ty lounge. We sat outside by a fire pit, ordered a glass of wine, listened to the ocean roll in, and had amazing tapas.
We also had dinner at Tyde’s one night and the setting was amazing. We sat outside (under heat lamps!) on a terrace that overlooks the ocean and could hear the waves crashing throughout our dinner. I got the sea bass and Michael got a crab pasta – both were phenomenal!
We also ordered room service breakfast two different mornings because the menu had SO many amazing options and they were all so healthy, fresh, and delicious! Also, with a baby, sometimes room service is just the best option haha. But honestly I’ve never stayed at a hotel where I loved room service food. Four Seasons Santa Barbara room service breakfast will blow you away!
Some of our favorite things about this trip were the two special Four Seasons experiences we partook in. One of those experiences was the Cabana 24 experience which y’all probably saw on my stories. If you’re going to this resort with a baby or with kids, I highly recommend looking into this! You rent an amazing private cabana for the day at Coral Casino (which is an exclusive club directly across from FS Santa Barbara with a huge swimming pool, kid’s pool, fitness facility, and more). So, we had our own cabana for the day (from 9am to 6pm). This cabana had games in it for kids, a TV with a DVD player, lounge chairs, snacks, a mini fridge, changing room…literally everything you need for a perfect day at the pool! It also includes lunch in your cabana which was super convenient (and yummy)! I got the mahi mahi tacos and they were SO good!
I loved having this cabana because I could nurse Shiloh in there with privacy, she could even take naps in there while Michael and I laid in the lounge chairs and also got work done. It was HEAVEN! I wish we would’ve done it more than one day honestly!

Another experience we did that was so fun was their Luna Terrace experience. You start the night off listening to live music and enjoying a glass of rose on the terrace, with a view of the ocean. After that you move into your own little private, cozy nook on the terrace, where they prepare an AMAZING moroccan feast for you and your party! I believe you can fit 6-8 people in this cozy candlelit nook…or you could make it a romantic date with just you and your hubs! The service and the food were both so good, and it was a really romantic experience!
My mom asked me while we were on this trip “do you miss your house / being home? you’ve been gone for a while!” and usually by the end of a trip…I’m ready to be home. But, Four Seasons Santa Barbara is honestly such a magical place with incredible service, the friendliest staff, and coziest accommodations that I was not ready to leave at all! This is a trip we will remember forever, and truly was so special. Whether you are looking for a romantic get away with your boo, or an amazing family trip to California…this resort will not disappoint!
I have lots of other things about Santa Barbara that I love or recommendations…but I might save that for another post! This one, I wanted to solely dedicate to a resort review. Let me know though if y’all would be interested in a post sharing my Santa Barbara recs!
Thanks for reading! Now, who’s ready for a trip to Santa Barbara?!
