Last week, Michael and I took our very first trip without Shiloh to one of our favorite resorts ever – Pueblo Bonito Pacifica in Cabo, while my mom kept our little love bug! Ever since Shiloh was around 6 months, Michael and I would occasionally ask each other “I wonder when we’ll take our first trip without Shiloh?” We have obviously traveled with her a TON and LOVE taking her places + letting her experience new sights, sounds and people. But, as I’m sure most of you guys know, traveling with a baby is not necessarily easy.
Starting around middle of July, things were pretty crazy around here. The Nordstrom sale started – which is my favorite but busiest time of the whole year. We had friends and family in town back to back to back, had one or two other work trips to take, a wedding back in Texas, etc. I honestly just felt exhausted and kind of disconnected from Michael (we were both feeling the disconnect). So, as hard as I knew it would be, we both felt like we could use some one on one time, and just time to rest + unplug for a few days…just the two of us. Shiloh is going through some major separation anxiety these days but luckily LOVES my mom. So I knew for our first trip away, she would definitely have to be with her Pippa (my mom’s grandma name haha)!
When we started thinking about where we wanted to go for a few days, Pueblo Bonito was the first resort both of us thought of. If you’ve been following me for a while, you’re probably already very familiar with this resort because we’ve visited it twice before (see my blog posts about the resort here and here), and absolutely love it. We knew we wanted to go somewhere that was adults-only (since we were sans-baby), romantic, beautiful, and very relaxing. Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is all of those things and more!
This was our lovely room we stayed in in The Towers – we had an ocean view suite on the 6th floor and it was absolutely perfect! If you come to Pueblo Bonito, I highly recommend staying in The Towers. They are kind of a resort within a resort and a whole nother level of luxury. All of the Towers have enhanced room amenities and 24-hour butler service that has been certified by the British Butler Institute [we LOVED our butler, Feliciano! He was so helpful throughout the entire trip]. A third tower [the one we stayed in!] features an oceanfront VIP Lounge, open exclusively to guests of The Towers at Pacifica with snacks throughout the day as well as wine + liquor; a beachfront fine-dining restaurant, Peninsula, which features Baja cuisine; and a state-of-the-art fitness center overlooking the ocean. I will show you photos of each one of these things below!

this is in the ocean front VIP lounge where we grabbed some snacks + a drink before dinner almost every night!
both photos above are from our dinner at La Friday – the Mexican restaurant at Pacifica’s sister property. probably our favorite dinner of the trip!
Another reason we love Pueblo Bonito so much is THE FOOD. We have been to tons of all-inclusive resorts and the food at Pueblo Bonito is probably the best food at an all-inclusive resort we have ever had (or at least in the top two). We had breakfast at La Siempre everyday because the buffet is SO yummy and everything is so fresh. We had lunch in our cabana almost everyday because of how convenient it was and we love their fish tacos and fresh ceviche. For dinner – they have so many options. There are several great restaurants on property (La Peninsula is probably my favorite on their property!), but we love that you can also hop on a shuttle to go to one of their sister properties for dinner! One night we went to the Mexican restaurant, La Frida, and LOVED it. The food is so good and the views are to die for! Another night we went to the steakhouse and enjoyed an amazing meal, right on the beach during sunset! As far as restaurants on the Pacifica property – La Peninsula is probably my favorite, but Pescado is really good too. We had great sushi there!
Something else we love about this resort is how quiet + peaceful it is. We’ve been to a lot of resorts that blare music by the pool all day everyday. Maybe we’re getting old lol but we love the quiet and peaceful environment at Pueblo Bonito. We stayed in a cabana on the beach every single day and loved being able to read or have good conversations with just the sound of the ocean waves rolling in! We’ve been to other resorts where you legit have to wake up at 5am to save a chair at the pool because things are SO crammed, and that’s not the case at PB! [PS – I highly recommend getting a cabana for the day. When Michael got sunburned he could go in there and lay in the shade, while I kept laying in the sun haha. And, like I mentioned, we also ordered lunch to our cabana everyday and loved it!]
The beach at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is GORGEOUS. You can’t get in the water because the tide is too strong…but the ocean / beach are both stunning and it’s a great beach for walking on. Michael and I took a walk almost everyday and had some amazing conversations + enjoyed how pristine the water and sand were.

Michael and I also got a couples massage during our trip and LOVED it. The spa at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is SO nice. We got there early and did the hot tub, cold plunge pool, steam room, and relaxed!
Something else we love at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica is the fitness center! I know, I know – not everyone likes to workout on vacation haha. But we both really enjoy working out, especially when we don’t have a baby with us that dictates our schedule lol and the fitness center here is GORGEOUS. It has tons of windows that all overlook the ocean, extremely nice / new equipment, and it’s massive! So you never have to worry about your treadmill being taken or things being overly crowded. Even if you hate working out, you should checking out the fitness center here because it’s gorgeous.

Lastly, we love the butler service at Pueblo Bonito Pacifica. Our butler not only took care of all of our dinner reservations, spa reservation, getting our cabana set up, transportation, etc…but I was also pumping throughout this entire trip because I’m still breastfeeding. Feliciano was always available to take my milk and store it in a freezer for me. Having a “butler” during your vacation definitely feels “extra” and it IS haha but in our experience, it’s actually very helpful and kind of a cherry on top of a really luxurious vacation.

Our trip was 4 nights total, and before we had Shiloh…I always wished we had just one more night! We love this resort so much. Now that we were without Shiloh, both of us were ready to get back and see our baby! She did so great with my mom, and we had a much-needed romantic vacation to just focus on marriage and rest! I can’t recommend this place enough, if you’re also looking for a romantic beach getaway! I know you will LOVE it as much as we do.
