I had an epiphany when I was on my long run this past weekend (training for a marathon!). It’s been exactly three years since Michael and I first visited Boulder, Colorado and decided we would move here, and make this place our home. Three years! We moved here in February if 2017 so we’ve lived here for over 2 and a half years now. We knew before moving to Colorado that we would love the mountains and that we’d love living somewhere so beautiful. I don’t think we had a clue though all that God would do in our lives both as individuals, and in our marriage in this season of our life. It’s been the biggest blessing and sweetest season we could have EVER asked for! We were both born and raised in Dallas and living in Colorado could not be more different than living in Dallas. But this place has truly become our home and I’m convinced it might be the most magical place in the country to live!
Two of the things I love most about living in Colorado, which go hand in hand, is the casual everyday style and active lifestyle. The weather is so ideal here and the scenery is so beautiful that it makes you WANT to get outside and be active – whether that’s going for a walk with a friend around a lake, or heading out for a hike. Because the lifestyle is so active here, people are always dressed the part! Now that the weather has cooled off, I love wearing cozy layers that transition perfectly from running to the grocery store, to meeting a friend at sunset for a walk around the lake. This tunic sweater has become a go-to of mine this fall season because it can be dressed up with denim, or paired with an athleisure outfit for any outdoor fall activity as well! I also found this amazing travel wrap at Backcountry that I can honestly say is worth EVERY PENNY. This will be your new must-have for any travel outfit, trip, or adventure you go on. So insanely soft and can be worn as a wrap or as a scarf! I love that I can find ALL of my adventure-necessities and cozy fall layers at Backcountry y’all.

Now that we’ve lived in Colorado for a few years, I’ve learned how important it is to have quality cold-weather gear. This hooded down vest is one of my favorite things I’ve purchased this season and I know I’ll get tons of use out of it (and wear it for years to come!).
