We are definitely at that point in summer where jeans are pretty much out of the question IMO haha, at least in Dallas. All I wear right now are either light breezy dresses or denim shorts (if I’m not in workout clothes)! So in case your denim short collection could use some love right now, I’m rounding up my absolute favorite denim shorts this summer! Whether you’re wanting to splurge on a pair you’ll wear for years to come, or want a budget friendly option, something long, something short…I’ve got you covered in today’s post!
AGolde Parker vintage denim shorts
These are hands down my #1 most worn pair of denim shorts, and they have been for about 2 years now. I originally thought “I could never spend over $100 on denim shorts” but decided to try them out because I loved how they looked online. Two years later and I still wear them almost daily. I actually bought one size up in these when I was pregnant with Shiloh and wore them all throughout pregnancy too haha. Pictured above you will see the same short in two different washes – that’s how much I love them!
I love that these aren’t super short, but they also aren’t like “mom length” either. They are a mid rise – so not too high waisted but definitely not low rise, and i love the loose / relaxed fit. If you’re looking to splurge on a pair of denim shorts, these are worth EVERY penny in my opinion! And I strongly believe they are flattering on every body type!
For size reference, I am 5’7 and wearing a size 25, which is my normal size in denim! If you are in between sizes, I’d suggest going down a size.
Madewell ‘perfect’ jean shorts
Madewell is one of my #1 favorite brands for denim, and I love this pair of denim shorts they recently released! If you’re looking for a denim short with a little more coverage and a little higher waisted, you will love this pair. The quality of their denim is SO good but at a reasonable price point.
For size reference, I’m wearing a size 25 in these and find them to run TTS. If you are in between sizes, I’d suggest going up a size.
AGolde Dee super high rise shorts
Of course another pair of Agolde shorts made my list! These are actually a recent addition for me and I LOVE them. I like having a black pair of denim shorts in the mix for some variety and I love the length on these! They are slightly longer than my other denim shorts but not too long IMO. I like that these can be dressed up or down and have a relaxed fit to them.
For size reference, I am wearing a 25, which is my normal size in denim.
Topshop roll hem mom denim shorts
These topshop shorts are also a new addition for me and I love the loose and relaxed fit of them! These are also a great budget friendly option and currently on sale for under $50! If you’re wanting a pair of denim shorts with some length and a relaxed fit, you will love these!
For size reference, I am wearing the 4 in these shorts!
Everlane cheeky denim shorts
These Everlane shorts are another great budget-friendly, but high quality option! Out of all the shorts in today’s post i’d say these might be the shortest…but still aren’t crazy short in my opinion! You can see more photos of them in this blog post! Everlane’s denim are all GREAT quality and always fit so well.
For size reference, I am wearing a size 25 and found these to run true to size.
Levi’s 501 high rise denim shorts
I bought these Levi denim shorts at the beginning of the summer and have worn them just as much (if not more) than the AGolde shorts I shared at the top of this post. These denim shorts are a great price point (under $70) but amazing quality and a great fit. They come in tons of different washes and I’m tempted to buy a few more pair since I’ve worn these so much!
For size reference, I’m wearing a 25 in these denim short and found them to run TTS! If in between sizes, maybe go down a size!

Which pair is your favorite?! If I had to pick one, I’d say number one is the AGolde Parker short, number 2 is the Levi’s!
