Today is the day! I’m finally sharing my nordstrom anniversary sale top picks with you guys! [I say ‘finally’ because I shopped on Tuesday and today’s Friday haha so it feels like I’ve been holding out on you guys!]
First, let’s chat about this year’s Nordstrom Sale coverage:
Before I get into all of my top picks, there are a few things I want to note for you guys!
- I am going to do a top picks round 1 post (today!) and a top picks round 2 next week! My store’s inventory was missing a lot of things on my nsale wishlist, so I had to order several of my favorite pieces. I absolutely LOVE the looks I’m sharing with y’all today, but there are more pieces en route that I also can’t wait to share with you next week! So, check back in for that!

- If you’ve shopped the nsale before, you know things typically sell out SO fast. Nordstrom has a great shipping / returns policy (free shipping and free returns)…so if you are on the fence about something, I would suggest buying it while you can, and then you can return it if you change your mind later!
Sizing info
I will share what size I bought in everything below. For reference, I am 5’7. I usually wear a size XS in tops, and a size 25 or 26 in jeans.

Free People sweater
Fit is TTS – I am wearing a size small because I wanted it to fit loose!
One of my favorite sweaters from the sale this year and a major fall staple! I definitely want to snag it in a second color because I love the chunky knit look. It’s not itchy at all, it’s not see through, and I love the mock neck.
Ripped high waisted jeans
Fit: runs slightly small. If in between sizes, go up a size. I’m wearing the 26
I was on the hunt to find the best under $50 jeans on nsale and IMO…these are IT! I tried the Levi’s and Topshop jeans and personally didn’t like how they fit at all. I LOVE this high waisted pair and tried them on with lots of different types of shoes and tops and feel like they are super versatile
Vince Camuto bootie
Fit: true to size. I’m wearing my normal size 8
This is an updated version of last year’s top selling nsale bootie and I LOVE this year’s pair even MORE. I bought last year’s VC bootie during the sale and literally wore them with EVERY outfit all year long…so I was in need of a new pair. I love the low cut on these, the block heel, and the color is perfect! (My color is ‘tortilla suede’).

BlankNYC Suede Moto jacket
Fit: TTS. Size up if you want to layer bulky sweaters underneath. I’m wearing size XS
I actually bought this suede moto jacket from the #Nsale a few years back and it’s definitely become a wardrobe staple for me. I’m so glad they brought it back to the sale this year in this perfect neutral color. The quality of this jacket is AMAZING, and the fact that you can get it for around $110 during this sale is SO GOOD.
Madewell Mock Neck top
Fit: TTS. Wearing size XS
Another great staple to have in your fall wardrobe. I love that this top has a little bubble sleeve detail and ribbing, so it’s more than just your standard turtleneck. It’s really pretty on it’s own but also a great layering piece!
Madewell high waist skinny jeans
Fit: TTS. If in between sizes though, go up a size. I’m wearing the 25 and they are pretty tight on me!
I tried on probably 4 of the black pair of jeans included in nsale this year, and this pair was by far my favorite. (No surprise! I love Madewell jeans). I love the button front and the high waist, and think they are really flattering. A great black skinny jean that can be dressed up or down.
Tory Burch convertible leather crossbody bag
This is one of two bags I bought on the nordstrom sale! I’m not gonna lie, when I saw this bag online…I wasn’t super impressed. But once I saw it in person I fell in LOVE. It is the PERFECT size and I love that it’s convertible so you can carry it so many different ways. I also love that it’s a bag you can dress up or down. Really classic and versatile and I’m tempted to buy it in brown as well.
Steve Madden mules
Fit: TTS. But, if in between sizes, go up a half size
These mules will 100% be an item that sells out QUICK. On sale they are under $50 which is NUTS because they look and feel SO nice! Mules are very hit or miss for me but this pair is FOR SURE a hit! Love how they look with skinny or boyfriend jeans and just add so much to any outfit!
Nordstrom’s site says to go up a half size. I got my normal size 8 though and they fit fine!

Madewell colorblock cardigan
Fit: TTS. Wearing size XS
The Madewell Kent cardigan is one that sells out EVERY year, and for good reason. It is one of the softest cardigans I own (and I have it in about 5 colors now haha). I couldn’t resist this beautiful neutral colorblock version and know I’ll wear it constantly this fall!
All in Favor V-neck t-shirt
Fit: TTS (oversized fit). Wearing size XS
This $15 tee is a GREAT staple to add to your wardrobe! I bought it in 3 colors because I love the loose / drapey fit, and the fact that the V isn’t too low! So soft and not see through at all! (Even the white one!)
AG prima jeans
Fit: TTS. Wearing size 25
These were my favorite dark wash skinny jeans from the sale, and I tried on about 5 pair this past Tuesday! These are SO stretchy and comfortable, and I love the crop length because it allows you to wear booties with a taller shaft! Everyone need a good pair of dark wash, non-distressed denim in their fall wardrobe and I highly recommend this pair!
March Fisher Oshay Bootie
Fit: TTS. If in between sizes though, I’d suggest going down a half size
These are my favorite booties from the sale this year! I LOVE the taller shaft on these and the pointed toe! The color you are seeing in these photos is ‘cognac suede’. But, I know I will be wearing these so much that I’m definitely going to buy ‘Cloud suede” as well. I liked the cognac suede color because it’s slightly darker than my other booties so felt like it added some good variety.
Treasure & Bond Hat
I love having a good wide brim hat or two in my fall wardrobe and thought this one was perfect! Not too big or wide, and I loved the brown color for fall!

This was an item I saw online before the sale started and added to my wishlist immediately. The perfect slouchy striped top and under $50! Looks cute with denim or leggings and is also the perfect layering piece for your fall wardrobe!
Topshop ribbed cardigan
Fit: TTS but oversized fit – I’m wearing the size small
One of my favorite cardigans from the sale! I love the oversized slouchy look of it. It’s something I’d wear with denim, leggings, or over a dress! Not itchy at all and I love the pockets. I bought this in two colors! This is a great under $50 find!

Cashmere is something I always make sure to buy during nsale. This cashmere sweater is on sale for just over $50 and it is SO soft and amazing quality! I bought in two colors because it’s just classic and versatile! You will see the off white color in one of my later outfits!
Rag & Bone skinny jeans
Fit: TTS. Wearing size 25
These might be my favorite jeans from the nsale this year! (I ordered a few more pair that I haven’t tried on yet, so jury is still out!). I LOVE the wash on these – the perfect medium wash with just a tiny bit of distressing. They’re also stretchy and comfy and SO flattering! Y’all will be seeing LOTS of these jeans this fall!

This is one of two bags I bought from the sale this year and fell in LOVE with it from the moment I saw it online! Camel / black / white is my absolute favorite color combo and I love how it pairs with any fall outfit (but you could definitely wear it year round!). One of my favorite under $50 finds from the #nsale. It’s a crop length but not too cropped at all! Looks great with high waisted jeans and super soft.

Okay y’all. Believe me when I say: every single one of you NEEDS to buy these shorts! First of all, they are $35.90 on sale! Second…idk if any of you guys feel this way but. The few times I “go out” with the girls, or have an event where I want to look chic yet sexy, or a nice date night…my wardrobe is lacking. These shorts are the EXACT item my wardrobe was missing. They are high waisted and SO flattering on any body type and so easy to dress up or dress down! You can wear them with boots or heels! Not too short but still elongate your legs. Literally, you need these!

Eeks! One of my favorite under $50 finds from the entire sale! This $32 dress will be a go-to for you this fall! Pair it with sneakers, booties, knee high boots or heels for a really casual everyday, or dressed up date night look. I bought in two prints and can’t love it enough. ALSO if you are expecting…this dress is definitely pump friendly!

Last year, I did not buy one single pair of tall boots because I didn’t love any of the options. This year…I LOVED this option. I love the pointed toe and semi-slouchy fit. They look adorable with both dresses and skinny jeans and I know I will get TONS of use out of them! Tempted to buy in a second color because I love them so much!

Okay y’all. I’ll be honest: I typically shy away from body con dresses bc #THEYSHOWEVERYTHING. But decided to give this one a try since it’s on sale for under $50 and OMG I could not love it more. Thinking about doing an entire blog post dedicated to this dress and the 20 different ways you could style it. Wear it with sneakers, booties, heels. Date night, daycare drop-off, or everyday life. SO flattering and will be a go-t0 all season long. I already ordered in black as well!
ALSO, if you are expecting, this dress is definitely bump-friendly and one I would have loved when I was pregnant with Shiloh!

This is a cardigan that sells out EVERY year, and rightfully so. I have this cardigan in at least 4 colors now…I wore it on our flight to Italy 4 years ago, throw it on over workout clothes, pair it with denim, throw it on over dresses…you will wear this CONSTANTLY. SO insanely soft and the quality is 10/10. I loved this olive green color for fall.

This $24 tank sold out in two seconds last year and for good reason. I found myself wearing this ALL year long. The PERFECT everyday lightweight jacket for fall! Madewell’s dispatch jacket has been a wardrobe staple of mine for about 5 years now. So When I saw they released it in a camo version, on CRAZY sale, I knew I had to have it! This jacket is lightweight, flattering fit, and has such a classic style that allows you to wear it year after year. I wear mine with jeans, black denim. leggings, dresses etc! The perfect everyday chic layer to add to any outfit.

Okay! Every year I splurge on ONE investment piece and it’s typically outerwear! This year it was the Theory trench coat & last year it was the Allsaints leather jacket – both pictured above!

My “splurge-worthy” piece this year from the #nsale! I think this coat is SO classy and anything I have ever bought from Vince has been SO high-quality and an item I wear year after year. I especially love this coat for Texas-type weather: where it never gets crazy cold, but it’s still the perfect added layer. You could wear this with leggings and sneakers OR over a little black cocktail dress for a fall/winter date night!

This was my splurge item from last year and I never had any ounce of buyer’s remorse. I LOVE the look and fit of this jacket and have worn it countless times over the last year. If you have been looking for a quality, classic leather jacket to invest in, THIS one is worth every penny and more IMO. This year, they released it in this gorgeous berry color and I am SO tempted to buy, considering how much I wore this blush one last year!
