I’ve been on a maaaajor reading kick lately – like I feel like there’s not enough time in the day to read all the books I want to read haha. My problem is I read like 5 books at a time so it takes me forever to get through one! Today I want to round up all the books I’m either currently reading, or what’s on my list to read next! There’s a pretty big variety from Christian to fiction to dog training and more haha.
I just started this book a few nights ago so I can't fully speak to my review on it yet but I bought this book after hearing Dr Amen on a few different podcasts and I was really intriqued. The premise of this book is about how powerful your brain is and the power that we have to CHANGE our brains, thus having a huge impact on the level of anxiety or depression or other mood disorders we might be experiencing. He is a brilliant man but I like that the book is (thus far) still easy to read!shop now
I'm a few chapters into this book and loving it already. I love how Louie Giglio writes and this book is such a beautiful reminder that God invites us to His table. He gives us a seat at His table and we have POWER over the enemy to fight his lies that he tries to make us believe, and the book also gives you tools on HOW to fight the enemy. It's been really powerful and insightful so far!shop now
I read this book in July of 2020 and it absolutely changed my life. So much so, that I think I'm going to start reading it again haha. This book shows you how powerful our minds are, reminds you that you have a CHOICE and we can choose to walk in freedom because of the power of the Holy Spirit! We don't have to continue to stay stuck in negative thought pattersn, and a spiral of anxiety. We can choose freedom and this book helps you find out how to do that everyday.shop now
This is my latest fiction read - I'm about 60% of the way through and it's really good! It's mysterious and interesting but not too dark and it's definitely hooked me since the beginning!shop now
I just finished this book about a week ago and to be honest...it was pretty life changing for me. The book is about habits of purpose in an age of distraction and the author talks about how our daily habits are actually forming our hearts and our lives. He explains habits that shape a Christian life that are rooted in a love for Christ and from a secure identity as a child of God. this book has helped me practice scripture before looking at my phone every morning, prayer 3 times a day, and other habits that have truly transformed my life. i highly recommend this book to any believer!shop now
In case you missed it, I shared on IG yesterday that we got a puppy!!! This is the book I have been reading about dog training! Fingers crossed it works haha.shop now
I just got this devotional after hearing the author on Jennie Allen's podcast. The devotional is about how surrender brings about true freedom and how that is the BEST way we could possibly live. The devotions are pretty short too so it's a great way to start off your day in the Word + with God! I've only read 3 so far but already really like them.shop now
This isn't necessarily a new book for me but it's one I like to keep on my desk or in my night stand and read it anytime I have just a spare 10 mins (or sometimes I'll read it in the morning). They are really short excerpts to give you wisdom for your day, get your brain in a healthy mindset, and uplift you for the day! This isn't a Christian book necessarily but I've really enjoyed the daily readings! (And they're really short too).shop now
