I shared a few months ago that I’ve started to do social-media free Saturdays every weekend and it’s become one of my favorite things in the world! I typically get on IG to post my photo around 8am and then I’m off for 24hrs. This has really helped me to just settle into the day, focus on Shiloh or the other people I’m with, without being distracted by my phone.
On these ‘social media free’ days, Shiloh and I typically bake something together as one of our weekend activities and always have so much fun! This past Saturday I made this apple cinnamon bread and y’all…it is SO GOOD. It was also pretty simple to make! I kind of decided to make it at the last minute so I used our Walmart+ membership to get all of the ingredients delivered right to my doorstep!
We got our Walmart+ membership at the beginning of 2020 and have used the HECK out of it! This membership has SO many benefits including free shipping (no order minimum – excludes most marketplace items, locations and freight surcharges), your groceries and more are also delivered for free with a $35 order minimum (I use this weekly!), you can get a discount on prescriptions, member prices on fuel, and more.
I find I use our Walmart+ membership even more around the holidays! We are hosting lots of different Friendsgivings + holiday parties over the next few months and I love how convenient it is to have my groceries delivered. Same day delivery + I find grocery shopping online so much easier! I have my list right in front of me, and Walmart’s website will also show me what I ordered last time which can make your grocery shopping way quicker.
Baking with Shiloh on the weekends has become such a sweet tradition. She LOVES to “help” and also loves to lick the bowl haha. And I honestly love this tradition even more now that I’m off social media on Saturdays! It’s a really sweet bonding time for the two of us…even though baking with a toddler takes exponentially longer and definitely makes a bigger mess haha.
I think signing up for a Walmart+ membership before the craziness of the holidays starts can save you so much time & money this holiday season! Like I said, we use the grocery delivery at least once a week. I can always count on Walmart to have the lowest prices on groceries, and to get everything I need in one place!
