launch day!

So, today is the day that this site is officially live! Whether you first met me on LOLO Mag, or if this is your first time….hi! I’m so glad you’re here to see my new site. Several of you my have been following me for a while, but I wanted to give a brief introduction both for myself and for the site.

My name is Lauren Sims (hence, the name of the website). I was born and raised in Dallas, Texas where I still live with my husband Michael – the absolute love of my life and man of my dreams. We got married in March of 2014 and marriage has been such a blast, such a learning experience, and the biggest blessing of my life!

We have a fur baby named Beau, who is a totally psycho yet completely adorable golden retriever puppy. (He’s almost a year and a half, but I tell myself that’s a puppy. It helps me justify his crazy).

We love trying new restaurants in Dallas, running and being active (we’re training for the Dallas half marathon right now!) and spending time with our friends. We bought our first house last March and it has been a project ever since!

Obviously, I have a true love for fashion and clothing. I think I was born with it. I hope this website makes shopping easy for you and inspires you to branch out and be bold in your wardrobe – while still being true to who you are! More than that though, I hope this website reminds you in some way or another of what true beauty is.

As women, it is so easy to look for identity in the clothes we wear or how fit we are or how “domestic” of a wife we can be. On this blog, I will share outfits with you and recipes and work out advice and more…but all on the grounds of this truth: Our identity as women comes from one place, and one place only. Christ looks at us and says we are loved, we are beautiful, and we are His. When you live your life on the foundation of that truth, it should overflow with joy! Every aspect of it! How you dress, how you view yourself, how you treat others…I pray that it all radiates from your true beauty and identity in the Lord.

So, I hope you’ll follow along and find yummy recipes or a new way to style a blanket scarf, or feel encouraged from a Scripture I share, giving me your feedback all along the way!
