If you follow me on snapchat (laurenkay2) or instagram (@laurenkaysims), you were most likely subject to my overload of posts a week ago from our trip to Cabo! Michael and I went to Cabo for 4 nights to celebrate our two year anniversary and it’s one of my favorite memories of our marriage thus far. Several of you had asked on instagram or snapchat about where we stayed or what we did, so I just wanted to share a little recap of our trip with you!
So we stayed at The Cape Hotel, and I can honestly say…I’ve never experienced anything like this hotel in my life. Everywhere I looked I was snapchatting or taking videos because there was just an overload of beauty. Every restaurant, the room, the lobby were all decorated so beautifully – with a very clean/contemporary vibe, which I love.
Our room / bathroom / balcony:
We stayed in the Deluxe King Room and it was the perfect size for us! The closet was spacious, the room had a chest of drawers, a beautiful footed tub, and the most amazing balcony (with this hanging bed! I need this in my life!). Also, the bed was super comfortable and I’m crazy picky about beds, so that was awesome. I slept like a baby every night!
The food:
french toast with caramelized bananas at The Ledge restaurant
we ordered room service for breakfast every morning but one because…LOOK at this!
definitely had chips and guacamole every day. their guacamole was SO fresh! (sunglasses)
rooftop bar – so beautiful at sunset!
it’s not a trip to Mexico without a pina colada on the beach! the cape hotel’s poolside service/drinks was outstanding!
So this is the first time I’ve been to a resort in Mexico that’s not all-inclusive. I love all-inclusive resorts because once you get there, you’re not worried about the cost of food, and can literally eat and drink everything your heart desires. However, being at a resort that was not all-inclusive really made you appreciate the food more, and the quality of the food at the cape was absolutely a 10 on a 10. Everything was so fresh, really flavorful, and tasted so authentic. The other nice thing about it is, Michael and I split most of our meals (but still had plenty to eat). So it was nice not feeling overly stuffed when you’re in a bathing suit everyday!
Outfits / everything else:

Everything about our trip really was so perfect – from the weather, to the food, to our time together…I could not have asked for a better trip! Let me know if you have any specific questions about the cape, any of my outfits, or anything else about Cabo!
