Just in case any of you have a trip planned to NYC soon, or if you’re contemplating going to NYFW next season, I wanted to share a recap of our NYFW experience with y’all! From where we stayed, to what we ate, and of course, a round-up of what I wore on each day!
Where we stayed
Striped sweater | Cut-off shorts | Wool hat | Sunglasses
Calpak marble luggage set | Cardigan | Cut-off shorts | Sneakers | Tote | Sunglasses
We stayed at YOTEL near Times Square. The first photo above shows the view from our room, and then the photos below that show the gorgeous terrace they had where you could sit outside to work or order a drink or food from the bar. Everything was so cute from the bright pillows to the fun rugs, and of course…amazing views! I wish we could’ve spent more time out here!
Review of the hotel: This is probably my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed at for NYFW. The location was great – it was convenient to get anywhere we needed to go, yet not too close to all the shows. The customer service we received there was excellent – everyone was super helpful and so nice! In the mornings they have complimentary muffins, coffee, and tea set out, which I feel like in New York is unheard of! (PS you MUST try their chocolate chip muffin! It’s basically like a brownie for breakfast). The hotel also had a fitness center that we used in the mornings before starting our day which was nice. All in all, we loved staying here and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great hotel in NYC!
Where we ate:
1. Duet
On our last night in NYC, Katelyn and I ate at the cutest restaurant in Greenwich village called Duet. For the most part we ate really cheap in NY – split everywhere we go, shake shack, pizza…(really healthy haha). This was our one “fancier” dinner and totally worth it. First of all the restaurant was adorable. But most importantly, the food was AMAZING!
The Frying Pan holds a special place in my heart because when I interned in NYC Summer 2012, this was a place my roommate slash one of my best friend’s frequented. The restaurant is actually on that big red ship, in the Chelsea Piers. The food is good – nothing that will necessarily change your life, but the atmosphere is so fun and the whole experience of eating on the water is amazing!
Other places we ate that aren’t pictured, that I LOVE: The Meatball Shop, Shake Shack (of course), and a really yummy brunch placed called Friedman’s!
