As most of y’all know, Michael and I just got back from our 3 year anniversary trip to Turks & Caicos about a week ago…and today I want to recap our stay at the most amazing Turks and Caicos resort: The Palms (the above photo was the view from our balcony), as well as what we thought about Turks & Caicos overall!
The Room
The picture above was taken on a lounge bed we had on our balcony, with the most amazing view of the ocean in front of us!PIN IT
This was the view from our living room!
We stayed in the one bedroom suite ocean front, and it was every bit as dreamy as it sounds. Our room was HUGE. It was almost like having our own apartment for the week, with a full kitchen and everything. The room was absolutely beautiful, the king size bed was so comfortable, and the bathroom was to die for! A walk in shower with no walls! Dream. As beautiful as the beach was, it was almost hard to leave our room because it was so luxurious, and had the most amazing view!
The food
We ate at the resort for 90% of our meals in Turks and Caicos. The food at The Palms was AMAZING. There is an American breakfast buffet every morning that’s included in your stay, and everything was so fresh. I went to the omelet station every morning for my egg white and veggie omelet! We loved their breakfast.
There are two other restaurants on property – one is a nicer dinner and one is more casual dining, and then there’s also a really cool bar. We had dinner at 72 west two nights during our stay there, and both of us said it’s probably the best seafood we have ever eaten! The service was also amazing and the atmosphere was so romantic. We also ate at the more casual dining restaurant one night and the dinner was equally as amazing, and right on the beach!
The grounds
The grounds were probably my favorite part of this Turks and Caicos resort. The photo above was taken at the spa, which was one of the most serene experiences of my life. It felt like you were walking into a dream world. But the grounds here were so gorgeous – with palm trees and beautiful flowers around every corner, it truly felt like a tropical paradise!
Turks & Caicos / the beauty
So, before we came to Turks & Caicos…I had seen pictures and heard stories of how beautiful it was. I can honestly tell y’all pictures cannot even begin to do this place justice! The Palms is located at the heart of Grace Bay Beach – consistently ranked among the most beautiful white sand beaches in the world. The water was the most beautiful turquoise blue color – it nearly looked fake!
One day Michael and I walked down our beach about a mile to where a reef was. We rented snorkels from our hotel (complimentary!) and got to see SO many fish! It was so beautiful, and so fun.
We went in the beginning of April so the water was a tad cold (for my wimpy taste haha), but still definitely swimmable!
The beach here was so beautiful and we loved how walkable it was! It’s sort of a crescent shape but probably spans 12 miles – you could just walk and walk forever! The weather was also PERFECT while we were there. High’s in the mid 80s, and lows in the upper 60s at night. True paradise!PIN IT
We went into town two or three different times during our stay at The Palms. You can rent bikes there complimentary and it was so fun to cruise around town! We found this adorable frozen yogurt / donut (best combination ever) in town called Turkberry! HIGHLY recommend!
Our first night at in Turks and Caicos we ate at Cocoa Bistro thanks to tons of recommendations from you guys! Hands down in the top 5 miles I’ve ever eaten, and the experience was a 10 on a 10. If you’re going to Turks and Caicos, you HAVE to try this restaurant! We didn’t have reservations so we had to wait a while. But, the wait wasn’t bad…the bar/lounge area was really fun and their cocktails were amazing.
WOW that is a lot of info! If you’re looking for a Turks and Caicos resort, I honestly cannot recommend The Palms enough! Also, the resort is not adults only so if you are planning a family trip…you could totally bring your kids here!
