vitafusion + fruit tree project

For those of you who have been following me for a while, you know I am a HUGE fan of vitafusion gummy vitamins. I strongly dislike swallowing pills, and prior to finding these gummies, could never consistently take a vitamin. Now I look FORWARD to taking my everyday energy gummies everyday or my beauty sleep at night! The everyday energy is a new product that helps with energy and alertness, and being able to keep pace with an active lifestyle.

vitafusion has started an amazing project called the Fruit Tree Project that’s making an huge impact in the world. Watch the video below to see how this initiative is benefiting thousands of underprivileged cities in the US and internationally:

YouTube video

In a nutshell: vitafusion is partnering with Fruit Tree Planting Foundation to launch a multi-year partnership, called the “Fruit Tree Project,” to help underserved communities today and in the future. With a nutrition gap in low income communities, the focus of the “Fruit Tree Project” is to cultivate and sustain over 10,000 nutrient rich mature fruit trees and remove almost 2 million pounds of carbon dioxide over the life of the trees. The effort will benefit communities across the US, increase access to healthy foods and foster a better green-scape for everyone!

vitafusion has committed to planting more than 10,000 trees in 2017, with the goal of producing over a million pieces of fresh fruit and almost two million pounds of oxygen over the life of the trees. The project will bring together communities in fun, educational planting events and workshops, while also encouraging the general public to positively participate in these amazing events!

To unveil the program in the United States, the makers of vitafusion gummy vitamins partnered with actress Jennie Garth and planted a fruit tree orchard of apple, pear, plum and cherries fruit trees in the Bronx of New York at Dewitt Clinton High School on June 6, 2017 to harvest healthy fruit nutrition to the community. The Bronx is the hungriest borough in New York City with 31% of residents living in food insecure homes.

I think this is an amazing cause and I’m so excited to both share it with you.

The Fruit Tree Project kicked off on Tuesday, 6/6 at Dewitt Clinton High School in the Bronx and will go on to plant over 10,000 trees across the country through 2017. This is a long-term partnership with the public being able to get involved in the planting event. If you don’t live near one of the planting locations, you can visit the vitafusion Facebook page and help spread the word by sharing or liking information about the campaign, and can even tell vitafusion where you would like to see future planting sites by commenting on the page/post!

I know it can so overwhelming to think about how you can really make a difference in the world or in the lives of those less privileged than us…and I love that this Fruit Tree Project is such an easy way to make a huge impact on people in underserved areas all around the world!

Thanks for reading and for your support!

Thank you to vitafusion for sponsoring this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own.
