best face mask for every skin problem

Hey y’all! Sorry I skipped my blog post yesterday – this face mask post was supposed to go live then but #LIFE haha. Things have been so crazy lately and traveling makes it 10x harder to stay on top of things! ANYWAY! I am SO excited about today’s post and to share some of my favorite face masks with y’all!

If you follow me on Instagram you know how obsessed I am with face masks and how essential they are in your skincare routine. One of the reasons I’m so excited about this post is that Martha (my assistant + right hand girl with the blog) and I both tried all of these out and are both sharing feedback on them! Every skin type is different and a good face mask isn’t necessarily ‘one size fits all’. So, I love that the face masks we’re sharing below are ones we have BOTH used and love!

We are breaking the masks up by skincare problem! Let me know if y’all have any questions!

The problem: Breakouts / Discoloration
The product: GlamGlow SuperMud Clearing Treatment
Our experience:  If you’re prone to breakouts or redness, this mask is a must-have. It’s great for soothing your skin and evening out your complexion (can help with any acne scarring too!). A lot of products aimed at preventing and healing breakouts can be kind of harsh and drying, but SuperMud is very hydrating and really calms the skin. We absolutely love this product because it can function both as a full-on mask and also as a spot treatment. It’s seriously miracle worker and leaves your skin so even and soothed! Warning: it definitely hardens up a lot on your face as you wear it, so don’t freak out if it feels a little tight! I would recommend only using this as needed (if you’re broken out), 1-2 times a week.

The problem: Tired eyes / fine lines and wrinkles
The product: Elemis Pro-Collagen Hydra-Gel Eye Masks
Our experience: oh my gosh, yall these things are gold! They’re definitely a little more pricey, but you don’t need to use them often so a single pack can last you up to two months or more. These eye masks are loaded up with collagen and hyaluronic acid to both tighten and hydrate the skin. If you’re running low on sleep or just noticing more fine lines and wrinkles around your eyes, these masks are going to be your saving grace. You can feel how hydrating and cooling they are as you wear them, too! Our eyes instantly looked more awake and youthful after just wearing these for 20 minutes! Also I’m obsessed with wearing these eye masks after a flight! I would recommend using these eye masks as needed.

The problem: Dullness
The product: Kiehl’s Turmeric and Cranberry Seed Energizing Radiance Mask
Our Experience: Kiehl’s has so many amazing products and this energizing mask is no exception. If your skin is looking dull and you’re looking to restore its glow, this mask is the answer. The turmeric helps with any inflammation and the cranberry seeds serve as a gentle exfoliator to remove any dead skin. It definitely leaves your skin looking brightened and smoother. This could also make a great stocking stuffer or gift for a girlfriend over the holidays!

The problem: Dry, tired skin
The product:
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Magic Facial Dry Sheet Mask
Our experience:
Okay so once you get over the funny look of a sheet mask (want you hubby before you put it on!), you will absolutely fall in love with this. It’s essentially an at-home facial and we were seriously blown away by the results. It’s a soft, dry mask that you wear for 15 minutes. The moment you take it off, you can tell your skin is softer, brighter, and more moisturized. You legit have that post-facial glow! They may be a little pricey, but one mask can be used several times and the results are truly incredible. This mask is moisturizing, aids in anti-aging, and gives you an over all glow!

The problem: Fine lines / dry skin
The product:
Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask (only $18!)
Our experience:
You guys know how obsessed I am with collagen (see my post about benefits of collagen here) so when I saw a collagen mask for $18 I jumped on it! I LOVE how this mask makes my face feel. It’s a purifying, pore-refining mask that will both hydrate your skin and revitalize it. Anti-aging benefits and hydrating all in one! Yes please!

The problem: Breakouts / blemishes
The product:
Tata Harper clarifying mask
Our experience:
I’ve only used this mask a few times but wow is it powerful for breakouts! It’s great for any skin imperfections and will get your skin back to looking healthy and balanced in no time. This mask has an enzymatic peel effect that helps mask the appearance of breakouts, redness and excess sebum without drying or irritating the skin. Like all Tata Harper products, this mask is completely toxin free and uses all organic ingredients! I would recommend using this mask as needed (if you’re experiencing a breakout) up to 3 times a week!

The problem: Dull skin / blemishes
The product:
Tata Harper resurfacing mask
Our experience:
I’ve incorporated this mask into my regular skincare routine. I use it 3 times a week every week. This mask is SO good for giving your skin an overall glow because it eliminates dull and blemished skin cells. It’s not drying at all and has been one of the best things I’ve added to my skincare routine recently! (I put it on after I’ve washed and dried my face, before applying my serums!)

The problem: Dry skin
The product:
Glamglow thirsty mud hydrating treatment
Our experience:
If you add one beauty product to your regimen this fall/winter, it should probably be this mask! Everyone’s skin gets drier in the winter and mine gets SO much drier now that we are in CO. This mask is super hydrating and it moisturizes, replenishes, and and calms your skin to give you a healthy youthful glow!

Let me know in the comments below if you have a face mask you love! I’m always looking for new ones to try out. Or, if you’ve tried any of these that I’ve listed, let us know your thoughts!

Thanks for reading!
