Hi friends! I am so excited for today’s post because it’s probably something I get asked about almost everytime I post an instagram in this room – “where is this rug from? where are your shelves from?” etc! So now you can shop ALL of my modern farmhouse living room decor in one place! I’m also really excited for this post because I will be reviewing our leather sofa from article that we got a few months ago and are absolutely obsessed with

There are a few things in our living room I get asked about ALL the time that unfortunately are not ‘linkable’ haha. One of those things is the old wooden ladder we use to hang blankets on. My husband Michael actually made that – he found an old ladder on the side of the road and did some work on it to make it into a blanket ladder! The other thing is the “delight in the Lord” window sign by our front door. This is from a local boutique in Waco that Michael bought for me right after we graduated from Baylor. Almost everything else you see in these photos is linked at the end of this blog post.

So the style of our home (slash probably my favorite home decor style) is modern farmhouse. I like the clean lines of modern but I like the cozy feel of farmhouse. So you’ll see a lot of old mixed with new in our living room. We had a pretty good start to this room when we first bought the house, but I needed help with finishing touches. So, Emily from Emily Tucker Design helped us finish this room out! She’s the mastermind who suggested getting a large jute rug underneath our printed one. She also suggested getting a leather sofa instead of a sofa that exactly matched our two chairs. She helped pick out pillows, window treatments, and just put the icing on the cake in this room! (BTW, the company that did our window treatments went out of business a few months ago. So, sadly, I cannot recommend them).

So, now I want to give y’all a review on this beautiful leather sofa from article! I knew I loved this sofa from the moment I laid eyes on it online. The color of the leather is absolutely gorgeous. I love how it kind of mixes old with the new – with the clean modern lies, but the tufted look of a traditional sofa.

I feel even MORE in love with this sofa once it was delivered to our home and I sat on it. So many leather sofas feel stiff and not comfortable. This one is SO comfortable and I’ve actually taken lots of naps on it already. The leather kind of wears the more you sit on it, giving it a more relaxed / lived in look – without it looking worn. It just gives the couch more of a vintage slouchy look IMO (as opposed to cold and stiff).

I honestly cannot recommend this article sofa enough. The comfort, quality, style, material…all around I give a 10 out of 10. It’s also just a stunning piece of furniture that we get compliments on ALL the time! I also just highly recommend ordering from Article in general. They have flat rate shipping of $49 to your door, no matter how large your oder is. This is unheard of when it comes to furniture! Our experience with Article has been nothing short of amazing and I would 100% order from them again.

We are still waiting for a painting to be done that will go above the console table behind the couch! If anything was not linked above, it’s because either Michael made it, we got it from a local Waco boutique, or it’s from Home Goods! Our light fixtures were picked out by the builder / came with the house and I don’t know where they are from.
