Happy Monday and happy October 1st! Can y’all believe October is already here? I seriously can’t, but I am so excited because that definitely make it feel like fall is really here! Today Martha and I are sharing some of our favorite purchases + products from September as part of our monthly favorites series (see August’s favorites here). Most of these are products we’ve recently purchased and fallen in love with, but there are also some goodies that have been rediscovered over the last month too. Lauren’s Favorites
Turtleneck Poncho with Buttons – The weather has been amazing in Colorado lately and I’ve been loving stocking up on cozy + adorable sweaters. The fit on this one is so cute and I love the little buttons! It looks adorable with skinny jeans and boots and is such a classic style you can wear year after year.
Wool Blazer – So since I work from home, I don’t typically buy a lot of blazers / business attire. But I loved the color of this camel blazer and thought it’d be perfect for NYFW. I’ve been so surprised HOW much use I’ve gotten out of it since then! I dressed it down with denim cutoff shorts, but it’s also very work appropriate with a pencil skirt or a black skinny pant!
Colorblock Zip Up Teddy Coat – Okay, I just ordered this jacket last week and haven’t gotten it in yet, but it was LOVE at first sight when I saw it online! This coat looks SO cozy and chic all at the same time, and I can’t wait to wear it all fall and winter!
Turban Beanie – I was a little unsure about this beanie when I first ordered it because I wasn’t sure how it would look on. As soon as I tried it on though I was OBSESSED and want it in every color. It looks SO cute on, and I love that it’s different than your typical beanie. It gives your outfit a more chic and/or boho look, and I love it.
Oribe Heat Protectant – This serum is a total necessity for EVERY girl’s hair IMO. I use it everytime I wash my hair, before I blow dry. It protects your hair from heat, provides nourishment, and also UV protection! It’s worth every penny, and a little bit goes a long way. So this bottle will last you a while!
Leaf Drop Earrings – How fun are these little gold earrings for fall?! They’re beautiful and dainty, and not too heavy at all. Plus, since they’re gold they truly go with every outfit. They’re under $40 and make such a good gift too!
Ruched Long Sleeve Dress – y’all might be tired of seeing me post this dress (I have it in the sleeveless version and long-sleeve). It’s under $60 and I loved it before pregnancy too! This dress is kind of like ‘sisterhood of the traveling pants’ haha. It magically looks good on EVERY girl + every body type! In the fall, it’s so cute under layers (I wear mine under a cashmere vest or scarf). You can dress it down with sneakers or dress it up with cute OTK boots! I’m telling you – this dress is magical. You need it.
Kopari Deodorant – This is a new product I’ve been using over the last month or so, and y’all I truly love it. You know those girls that say “I don’t really sweat, I glisten.”? Yeah, that’s not me lol. I always work up a good sweat so I need a deodorant that really works. I love that this has much more natural ingredients (like no aluminum!) and that it goes on invisible. I can honestly say it works all day and even through the toughest workouts!
Kopari Body Milk – If y’all remember this post, you know this isn’t a few product for me and it’s been a fave for a while. With the temperatures dropping and my skin getting a little more dry, I definitely have used this more over the last month. This stuff hydrates your skin and just leaves it feeling especially silky + smooth (even in the dead of winter!). I’ll usually put this on after the shower and it absorbs super quickly.
Martha’s Favorites
Madewell High Waist Jeans – If I had to describe these jeans in one sentence it would be this: you have to buy them!! Ha, but in all seriousness, they are some of the most comfortable and flattering jeans I’ve ever owned. It took me a while to get them because of the price tag for a casual/distressed pair of denim, but I can assure you they’re worth every penny. I wear them all the time!
Gorjana Hoop Earrings – I am such a fan of classic accessories that can be worn with everything and for any event (or no event at all haha). Gorjana always makes stunning, understated jewelry and I recently fell in love with these hoops. They’re light and delicate, but also are the perfect finishing touch to any outfit. Definitely a staple accessory in my opinion!
MAC Lipstick – This is another product that Lauren has been swearing by for years and I finally picked up this last month. The shade is “velvet teddy” and it’s like the sisterhood fo the traveling pants for lipstick, because it honestly looks good on everyone. It’s an affordable everyday lip color that adds just the right amount of pigment!
Summer Fridays Jet Lag Mask – Okay this isn’t in the collage, but that’s because it’s been one of Lauren’s monthly favorites in the past. I finally grabbed it this month during the Sephora sale and guys… it’s all it’s cracked up to be and MORE! My skin definitely leans towards the dryer side, so I’m always looking for ways to lock in more moisture. This mask is like a big glass of water for your skin and OMG it makes you glow. I looove it and use it about twice a week.
Lastly, Michael wanted to share a few of his favorites from September! September is his bday month so he got a few new things he’s been loving!
