A few weeks ago, Michael and I (and Shiloh!) took the funnest trip with 6 of our closest friends! We met these other 3 couples at Baylor and have stayed bff’s since, but all live in different states. So we wanted to plan a little reunion trip and thought an all-inclusive resort would be the way to go! We stayed at Paradisus Playa Del Carmen and had the best time, so I want to share a detailed and honest review with y’all today! [In case you missed it, I have also reviewed Paradisus Cancun and Paradisus Cabo in previous blog posts! This was my 3rd Paradisus location to stay at!]

Before I start categorizing everything about our stay at Paradisus, I first want to say that we had a GREAT experience here! We had our own butler who was extremely helpful in getting dinner reservations for us, bringing us anything we needed to our room for Shiloh, getting us a cabana by the pool, etc. He was available via text throughout our whole stay and was SO helpful and kind! [His name was Jonathan, if you happen to be visiting the resort soon]. When we first got there, I noticed the mini fridge wasn’t very cold, and I had to store breastmilk in there [because I pump every night]. I asked if they could fix that, and he brought me an entire new fridge that got much colder! Just one example of the amazing service we experienced there!

We came back from the pool one day and our butler had put together this adorable little bubble bath for Shiloh!

Paradisus is an all-inclusive resort in Playa del Carmen, about a 45minute drive from the airport. They have an adults-only side, and a “family concierge” side. The two sides are separated but walking distance for sure! Michael and I stayed on the family concierge side with Shiloh, and our friends stayed on the adults only side. The adults only side also has a few more options for restaurants and stuff (as well as adults only pools), which is nice if you’re taking a trip with just your hubs and don’t want to be around a lot of kids!

Now that we have a baby, I loved the family-friendly amenities this resort had. We had a really nice crib for Shiloh in our room, they left little toys for her as a gift (if you’ve seen my stories…that’s where her Dora toothbrush came from haha), fun water parks, play areas, and lots more to offer for kids!

The grounds at Paradisus were gorgeous! So many beautiful flowers and modern decor. The fitness center was also HUGE and really nice, and they offer exercise classes during your stay as well (yoga, spin classes, etc!). The resort overall is massive which is nice, because you’re not fighting for a spot at the pool (because there are TONS of pools!). We went during a pretty peak season and never felt like it was overly crowded!

Our room was honestly one of my favorite parts of this resort! It was SO big and comfortable for the 3 of us + all of our stuff! Shiloh’s crib was in the living room area, we had a mini kitchen area, as well as the large master and huge master bathroom! I think it’s really easy to start to feel cramped on a beach vacation after a few days, especially if you have a baby, so this was extremely nice to be able to spread out and not feel cramped at all. Michael and I even had separate bathrooms! We also had a huge balcony with a tub outside, and a view of the ocean.

One of the things I was most impressed by at Paradisus Playa del Carmen was the FOOD! When you go to an all-inclusive resort, I think your expectations are pretty low when it comes to food. But Michael and I both said this was some of the best food we’ve ever had at an all-inclusive resort! Like I said, the property is HUGE so there are SO many restaurant options! We loved Mole (the Mexican restaurant) and Hibachi was really good too! We ordered lunch by the pool one day and enjoyed that as well. The tacos above are from Olio, which we had two days in a row for lunch because they were so yummy!

I also thought their drinks were really good! My go-to drink for the week was a spicy margarita (with mezcal!) and it always tasted really fresh, light and delicious. Again, at an all-inclusive resort, I typically find the drinks to be really sugary and watered down…but Paradisus really impressed me with their cocktails!

If you’ve been looking to book a trip to Mexico at a great all-inclusive resort (that’s very reasonably priced compared to other all-inclusives!), I highly recommend checking out Paradisus Playa del Carmen! We had such a fun time, enjoyed great food, great service, and would definitely visit again!

Thanks for reading!
