summer trip to beaver creek!

Last week Michael and I took a little road trip to Beaver Creek with our friends who came to visit us from Dallas and had such a FUN few days there! We stayed at a beautiful Cuvee property at Ritz Carlton Beaver Creek so today I wanted to recap our quick but amazing trip with you guys! [FYI – I’ve done a few blog posts about Cuvee if you aren’t familiar with them! See this post about another Beaver Creek property they have + to learn more about what Cuvee is, and this post about their incredible property in Cabo].

The Colorado Lodge we stayed in is absolutely stunning, like all Cuvee properties! It was so rustic and cozy and more than enough space for the 5 of us (Shiloh was there too of course!). The property is 4 bedrooms, 4 1/2 baths…so this is the perfect place to come with a few other couple friends or a big family trip. Like all Cuvee properties do, they welcomed us with the most AMAZING charcuterie board! This lasted us all 3 days we stayed because there was so much meat and cheese on it! Heaven. Also, all Cuvee properties have a stocked wine cellar (and they had my favorite rose in there! Whispering Angel!), as well as a stocked coffee bar ready to go! The fridge is also stocked with lots of drink options. Cuvee also had Shiloh’s crib set up and ready when we arrived. So, needless to say, we were MORE than comfortable in this beautiful property.

One of my favorite things about this Cuvee property at the Ritz is the location! In the summer, there are so many hikes right outside your doorstep, and in the winter you are steps away from the slopes! The 5 of us went for a beautiful hike to Beaver Creek Village (it’s called “village to village”). The hike was around 6 miles but most of it was shaded with incredible views and lots of pretty aspen trees! Beaver Creek village has a cookie lady come out everyday at 3pm with fresh baked chocolate chip cookies, and we got there just in time for that! After our hike, we also walked around Beaver Creek Village for a while which was adorable.

Another great thing about this property is the access you have to all of the Ritz amenities. We all utilized the amazing spa at the Ritz Carlton – with steam rooms, saunas, hot tubs, cold plunge pools and more. I also used the fitness center there and love their gym! There are two restaurants downstairs at the Ritz – Wyld (fine dining) and Buffalos. We had Wyld for dinner one night and it was AMAZING. The food was delicious and it was a really cool experience. And we had Buffalos one day for lunch before our hike! (Definitely get the bison burger there!).

One of my favorite things about Cuvee trips is all of the experiences they offer. We did their private chef experience one night in our lodge and it was so cool! A chef came in and cooked an incredible 3 course meal for the 4 of us, and it was so nice to enjoy such a great meal in the comfort of your own space (while Shiloh was sleeping in her crib!). We had a beautiful heirloom tomato salad to start, crispy duck confit as the main meal, and the yummiest flourless chocolate cake for dessert!

Beaver Creek is such a magical place whether you’re going in the summer or the winter (the weather in the summertime is unreal!) and if you want a really memorable trip…y’all know I can’t recommend Cuvee trips enough! They make your entire trip so seamless and so special.

Thanks for reading!
