My favorite fall item to hunt for is one that I know I will wear year after year. Typically when I am searching for a new wardrobe staple, I am looking for timeless, classic pieces that I can layer and mix and match with items I already have in my closet!
Today I wanted to share a few new fall arrivals that I know I will wear for years, along with some old favorites that I can’t wait to style again this season!
old fall faves I can’t wait to wear again
This is my favorite type of fall outfit – a slouchy sweater, distressed denim and booties! You can wear this look on a date night, girls night, to run errands… basically name the activity and this is my look for fall! I’m so excited to bring these booties back because they’re the perfect everyday option with a low heel. This slouchy, balloon sleeve sweater is so soft and comfy and I saw they have more colors this year and I might have to order a couple more!
This look was one of my favorites from last year, and your favorites too! I think everyone fell in love with the over-the-knee boot look… and I am still here for it in 2020! A sweater dress and tall booties is a simple way to stay comfortable but still look put together. I have to be honest, these Stuart Weitzman boots are a really big investment, but they were so worth it as I wore them non-stop and plan to again! I also love to pair this tunic with leggings and sneakers for running errands or a causal family dinner.

I shared this puffy coat on my stories yesterday because it is one item that I was obsessed with last year – I even bought it in two colors! I am thinking about adding the chocolate brown to my collection this year. I wear this puffy coat over literally everything – dresses, denim, leggings, joggers, the list goes on. I saw that it also comes in faux fur and instantly added it to my cart!
This amazon sweater is a hidden gem! Less than 60 dollars and the quality is unbelievable for the price point! I love the light beige color and the caramel. So cozy paired with jeans or faux leather leggings! Definitely a must order.
Blanket scarves are a fall trend that I am all about! They’re such an effortless way to stay warm and cozy but also accessorize your outfit. This cashmere scarf is one that I know I will wear for years to come! I love the light grey, but it also comes in camel and beige. It’s super high quality and definitely worth the money. I love to pair it with this loose and drapey tunic for a post workout look or for running errands.
Okay this J.Crew coat was one of my go-to layering items last year and you guys… it’s 50% off!! Literally marked down from over $230 to only $119! I cannot believe it. Ya’ll have to snag it before it’s sold out! Perfect to wear over a sweater dress or with denim and a crewneck.
This quilted jacket is definitely a outside of my typical “neutral” comfort zone” but I am so glad that I invested in it! It’s surprisingly light weight but still super warm, and I love the structure and shape. Style it with sneakers for a casual, military inspired look – or wear it with denim and booties for a more dressed up outfit! I can’t wait to bring this one back this fall!
Last but definitely not least for my old faves, this “coatigan” – yes, coatigan. A mix between a coat and a cardigan, and ya’ll … it is SO good! I wore this thing on repeat last year. I saw so many of ya’ll ordered it too and loved it!! It turns a casual outfit into a styled look in a matter of minutes. When you wear it you truly feel like you’re wrapped up in a long, soft blanket. I never wanted to take it off… and I basically didn’t! I love this piece so much!
So now that I’ve given ya’ll the 411 on pieces I loved and can’t wait to wear again, here’s an update on what I’m super excited to add to my wardrobe this fall…
