I cannot wrap my brain around the fact that today is Christmas Eve! I swear this Christmas season has flown by 100x faster than any other year. We have had so much fun putting together lots of gift guides and holiday outfits for you guys this year. But I know I’d be doing you guys a disservice if we didn’t stop and talk about the true Reason for the season.

Christmas truly is the most magical time of year – the lights, the parties, the music, the holiday treats, family…and especially seeing how magical it all is from Shiloh’s eyes. But truly the most magical part of this entire season is God sending His Son to earth, to be born in the most humble way. “Jesus faced separation from his Father in the here and now so that we would know the Father’s acceptance now and for all eternity.” – Paul David Tripp

I read this in my devotional yesterday and thought it summed up this Christmas season so well and what we are truly celebrating:

Look into that manger and see the One who came to die. Hear the angels’ song and remember that death would be the only way that peace would be given. Look at your tree and remember another tree – one not decorated with shining ornaments, but stained with the blood of the Son of God. As you celebrate, remember that the pathway to your celebration was the death of the One you celebrate, and be thankful. – Paul David Tripp

We have so much to be thankful for this holiday season – family and friends and our homes and jobs and so many other things…but most of all Jesus. That He loved us so much to come to this earth, be born in a manger, live the perfect life to be the ultimate sacrifice for our sins, so that our sin no longer separate us from Him. So that we can walk with Him in intimacy and grace every single day, and for all eternity.

Merry Christmas fam! So thankful for each one of you and pray you have the most magical weekend celebrating with your loved ones!
