favorite low calorie summer recipes

I don’t know about y’all, but I still can’t believe summer is already here! It probably doesn’t help that it snowed here in Boulder a few weeks ago, but it’s finally starting to warm up and I love it! Summer is such a fun time to get together with friends and family, whether it’s at a BBQ, pool party, or even a 4th of July celebration! I’m all about any excuse to get together with my favorite people and enjoy a good meal.

With that being said, I wanted to share some of my favorite low calorie recipes for the summer! Y’all know I’m really into fitness and like to eat healthy as much as I can. It can be hard sometimes when you’re going to a cookout to find yummy meals that don’t leave you feeling full of regret. I think it’s also challenging to find a good poolside drink to enjoy guilt-free, which is why I am so glad I found Smirnoff Spiked Sparkling Seltzer! It is so light and refreshing tasting, and is the perfect drink you can enjoy all summer long! I love that they have so many different flavors, and all of them are delicious, low cal, AND
sugar free!

Okay so the first recipe I want to share with y’all is for these delicious Hawaiian steak kabobs! They’re so easy to make and you just throw them right on the grill! This particular recipe uses steak, bell peppers, and pineapple (YUM!), but you can honestly use any meat and veggies you want. It’s a nice, light meal that also makes great leftovers. Just be sure to not go too heavy on the soy sauce and you’ve got a healthy dinner for your BBQ! The orange mango flavor of the Smirnoff Spiked Sparkling Seltzer is so good with these kabobs!

The next recipe is probably the prettiest (and most patriotic) one I found. Is it just me or does food taste better when it’s pretty? Anyway, I love how light and flavorful this watermelon, blueberry, and feta salad is. It’s easy to make and looks awesome, so it’s the perfect side dish to bring to your 4th of July party! And if you really love watermelon like me, you can enjoy this salad with the Smirnoff Spiked Sparkling Seltzer in watermelon flavor! Soooo good.

Lastly, if you know me at all, you know I looove desserts. I’m always looking for new ways to satisfy my sweet tooth without going totally overboard with the sugar and calories. Look how adorable these banana splits in a jar are! I’m pretty sure these are going to be a new staple in the Sims household. You can easily make these for your friends at a pool party and get creative with the toppings!
