my go-to workout shoes: by activity

Shop

it’s no secret by now that i am a bit of a sneaker connoisseur haha. i LOVE trying out tons of different shoes for different types of workouts and finding which ones help me perform my best! even though i have a ton of different shoes, i’ve finally found like my core 4-5 i rotate between depending on what activity i’m doing that day – strength training, walking, HIIT, or running. wanted to share those go-to sneakers with you guys today!

strength training + HIIT

i got these nikes about 8 months ago and they've become my go-to sneaker for strength training or HIIT workouts! first of all, i LOVE how they look! they kind of have a retro 90's vibe to them that i love, and they're really different than my typical thick-soled sneaker i usually gravitate towards. but they're also great for strength training and HIIT bc they're a pretty flat sneaker! but still so comfortable and have good support! i personally wouldn't wear these for running, unless i was just doing like sprint intervals or something short. but again, SO good for strength training or interval type workouts!

i have a pair of these nikes at our lakehouse and a pair at home as well bc i love them THAT much. they've got a good cushion to them but not too much so they still work great for strength training or like F45 type of workouts IMO. I also love how they look - they've got such a cool + athletic style and honestly look so cute with any workout outfit!

if you've been following me for a while, you know i have the hoka bondi's in WAYYY too many colors now! i'm actually wearing them as i type this blog post haha bc i just got back from a walk with lyla. they have SO much cushion and really feel like you are walking on clouds! ever since i got my first pair of bondis, i literally NEVER go for a walk in any other shoe! they are so comfortable and i've actually grown to love the thick sole / platform sneaker look! you could also wear these for running! but i personally love them most for walking! (or if you work in a hospital or have a job where you're on your feet all day, these would be great for that as well!).

running

now onto running shoes! to be honest, i highly recommend going into a running store and having an expert measure your foot, watch you run, and then make a running shoe suggestion. because the running shoe that’s right for me, might not be the one that’s right for you! but, these have been my two go-to running shoes as of late!

these are probably my most recent running shoes that i've fallen in love with. they have such amazing cushion without being too heavy. they almost feel like they spring back at you with every step! i've done everything from 5 mile to 12 mile runs in these and my feet felt incredible!

these are probably my #1 go-to long distance running shoe right now (and have been for about a year). i'm about to get the new version of them because mine are pretty worn out! they are SO comfortable, lightweight, but still have really good cushion and support! they have a propulsive feel to help drive you forward, and have kept my feet feeling so comfortable for miles upon miles. i do suggest going up half a size in these!

okay now for workout shoes that work for lots of different types of workouts. these are typically the shoes i bring with me when i travel because they work for walking, running, or strength training! and they’re both super comfortable!

i am so obsessed with the kawanas! i have them in a few colors. they're a great neutral shoe that provides soft, even cushioning with an emphasis on comfort during any activity. i personally wouldn't run SUPER long distances in them but they're great for just everyday running, strength training, or really any activity.

believe the hype about this shoe! i have them in so many colors and bring these with me on pretty much every trip because they work for so many different types of workouts. they're such a comfortable, springy shoe that i actually love to run in. but also walk in them and can wear them for strength training too if i need to. super lightweight but still have good cushion to absorb your impact!
