With the new year right around the corner, I’ve already been getting that itch to think about new goals and hopes for 2019. I don’t necessarily jump on the ‘resolutions’ train, but I do start to think more about what I want to be more intentional and prayerful about in the year to come. There’s just something so sweet about a new year and a new chapter, and I can’t wait to see what 2019 holds for us!
I know a ton of people love to focus on fitness and being more disciplined in that area in the new year, so today I wanted to share some of my current favorite workout clothes! Cause let’s be real, new workout clothes are always motivating!
As you probably know by now, working out and living an active lifestyle is something I really love and try to prioritize. Since having Shiloh, that’s definitely been more challenging and just looked a little different (I did a whole blog post about post baby fitness). But no matter how different it looks or how I have to modify along the way, I’ve learned that I really do feel better and more like myself when I’m able to consistently get a workout in. I always feel better after a workout and never regret getting it done.
So if we’re being real, it can often be easy to find excuses not to workout or to stick to a new resolution. Keeping up motivation can just be so hard! For me personally, I’ve found that having the right workout clothes can make such a huge difference! Not only does it make working out for comfortable, but it can just be so motivating! I feel like even just shopping for workout clothes and trying them on makes me more excited to go on a run or get in some strength training. This is so silly, but you know the phrase “dress for the job you want, not the job you have”? I feel like that can kind of apply to working out too. Just getting dressed in good workout gear can help so much and make you feel more confident!
This blush workout gear is giving me ALL the heart eyes lately! So I knew I had to share it with y’all. First off, these high-waisted leggings are not only insanely flattering, but the material is also incredibly soft. They’re not see through and they don’t show sweat, so no worries there. I love that they aren’t your typical black workout leggings, so they’re a little more fun and feminine.
This fuzzy pullover is also a favorite, especially for going to and from places! This may seem silly, but I remember when I used to go to early morning workout classes in the winter and literally just the temperatures would keep me from getting out of bed! Cause seriously, there’s just something so cruel and hard about going from your cozy, warm bed and braving the cold temps to get to the gym. So I love this pullover not just because it’s so adorable, but it’s super comfy and warm! You can keep it on after the gym while you’re running errands, etc., and still feel so put together!
And lastly, these APL kicks – I’m completely obsessed! I heard about APL’s for years and how they were some sort of miracle sneaker, but it took me a while to finally pull the trigger. Oh my word y’all, why did I wait so long?! They are some of the most comfortable, supportive sneakers I’ve ever had and they work so well for a variety of workouts! Plus they come in so many fun colors and the quality is incredibly. If you are looking for a good tennis shoe that can handle all kinds of workouts, I definitely recommend these APL sneakers.
