Happy Friday friends! Continuing our “best of” series today with my best fashion purchases from 2018! [in case you missed it, i also shared my best beauty purchases and best baby purchases earlier this month!]. It was honestly SO hard to narrow down my top purchases, but the items I’m sharing with you today are seriously the best of the best. These are items y’all have probably seen me post hundreds of times because I love each one of these items THAT much.

Decided to go ahead and put these firsts because they are by far my highest ticket items for 2018. This was my very first year to ever make a designer purchase y’all and I am OBSESSED with both of my Gucci bags! I did an entire blog post here reviewing my black Gucci bag so I won’t go into too much more detail here. But I have carried each one of these bags at least 100 times this year and they still look BRAND new. They instantly “chic” up any outfit, they’re classic, and just beautiful bags. They have been worth every penny for me.
This is an item on my list you’ve probably only seen once or twice on my instagram, but it made my “best purchases” list for SO many reasons. FIrst of all, this is a dress that will never go out of style. You can wear it now in your 20’s, but still rock it well into your 30’s, 40’s and beyond. I love it because it’s insanely flattering which isn’t true for most sweater dresses, and the cashmere material is SO cozy / not itchy at all. Another reason I love this dress so much is because you can dress it down for weekend wear with sneakers, but just as easily pair with a heeled bootie for a winter date night. This is one of those dresses you will throw on on those days where you hate everything in your closet…because you will still love this dress.
I’m not exaggerating when I say this dress (both the LS and sleeveless version) looks good on everyone! No madder what your height or body type, this dress is so flattering. It comes in tons of colors and you seriously cannot beat the price. I have both the long sleeve one and the sleeveless one, and I love that they can be worn so many different ways! I also wore these dresses a lot throughout my pregnancy, because the ruching made it bump-friendly (even though it isn’t a maternity dress). You can dress it up with heels for dinner out, or you can dress it down with sneakers or sandals for a casual look. Just trust me when I say you need to give this dress a try – it’s amazing!
The absolute gold gem of all denim jackets. Most denim jackets are kind of stiff, boxy, and uncomfortable IMO, but NONE of those things are true of this FP jacket! Hands down my favorite denim jacket I’ve ever purchased! The denim is SO soft so the jacket is really comfortable, and it has a flattering fit without being restrictive at all. I take this jacket on every trip we go on, no matter what season. I convinced my older sister to buy it as well and she’s just as obsessed as I am! This denim jacket looks adorable with black or white jeans, sundresses, jumpsuits, and everything in between. I promise you will get SO much use out of this. (also sorry for the old bump photo haha!)
Oh man, I can’t even put into words how much I love these sneakers. I have gotten SO much use out of them over the last several months and they still haven’t worn down or lost their comfort/fit at all. The quality is incredible and it’s just such a classic looking black sneaker. The basic black/white look makes it super easy to wear so many ways – whether you’re wanting a cute athleisure look for a coffee date or you just want to be comfortable running errands. I don’t do many workouts in these sneakers, but they’re perfect for everyday wear. I share more about them in this post about all my favorite sneakers.
I got this tote during the anniversary sale last summer and y’all, I’ve used it SO much since then. It’s the perfect tote for travel, errands, and just everyday use. I’ve never found a tote like this that works so well for both travel and everyday. The leather is unbelievable quality, super soft, and just SO pretty. I was hesitant to pull the trigger at first because of the price, but I can assure you you’ll never experience buyer’s remorse because it is 100% worth it. It’s also such a classic bag that will never go out of style, so you can use it for years to come. Some of my mom friends have used it as a diaper bag too and say it works great!
Confession, I actually bought these beginning of January but I had to include them in this blog post because they are SUCH a great purchase. Obviously the aviator is such a classic shape, but I’d been eyeing this bigger size for a while. I love that these sunglasses look SO good with workout looks, jeans and a t-shirt, cozy sweaters, and pretty much everything else in between. It’s a shape that will never go out of style, and you’ll find yourself wearing them EVERY day.
If I’m being totally honest, I could legit put 1000 pics in here of me wearing these sunnies. I wear them almost every day! Y’all know I have a little bit of a weakness for cute sunglasses (especially Ray-Ban’s), but these have easily become the pair I find myself reaching for the most. I love that they’re both a little bit trendy, but also have a timeless look to them. They’re also the perfect size because they don’t totally overwhelm/dominate your face, but they also aren’t like so small that they look kind of silly. These sunnies work well on any face shape and the quality is incredibly. I’ve brought them on countless trips and outings, and they still are in perfect condition!
I got these jeans last fall and they quickly became my go-to black jeans. I discovered COH jeans last year and fell in love. The fit is insanely flattering and just elongates your legs in the best way. I feel like when I’m looking for good distressed black jeans I run into two problems: they’re either way too distressed, or the black-ness fades almost immediately. I haven’t had that at all with these jeans! The color hasn’t faded at all and the distressing is much more subtle, so you sometimes can’t even see it! They aren’t too stiff and the rise falls in the perfect spot. These are a great pair of jeans that I will wear literally hundreds of times and they’ll hold up well!
Okay believe me when I say every woman NEEDS these leggings in her life. They’re under $100 and are so versatile. They look cute with oversized sweaters, button downs, cardigans… everything! And since they’re spanx, they hold you in and look super flattering (without being uncomfortable or too tight). I love these because they work really well if you’re going to a dressier event, but don’t feel like wearing a dress. The faux leather look just gives your outfit a little more elegance. Y’all, I love these and wear them constantly!
If you’ve been struggling to find the right pair of high-waisted, boyfriend(-ish) jeans… then look no further. These levi’s are amazing and are honestly the perfect on-trend denim. They’re under $100 and I wear them at least twice a week. Last year we definitely saw the “mom jean” come back and TBH, I didn’t really understand it. But I feel like this pair of jeans has that trendy, high-waisted look without being unflattering. I’ve worn these with just about every top I own. They look cute with booties in the winter, but also are adorable with sandals in the spring and summer. Plus, they’re such a great price for amazing denim!
I heard about the Tumi brand for years before ever getting this purchase. I know the quality was unparalleled and their products supposedly lasted forever. Well, I got this backpack at the beginning of 2018 and now I totally get why people are obsessed. This backpack is sleek and practical, and it honestly holds so much. I personally prefer this size because it can fit my laptop along with so much other stuff. Michael and I bring it on every trip and it seriously comes in SO handy! The material never gets worn down or scuffed, and I love it! They make it in tons of colors too so you could easily grab one for your man if he like to bring a backpack to work or on trips!
This is another piece that everyone raves about – including me! Haha but seriously, I fell in love with this moto jacket and got it in two colors! The fit is SO flattering and it’s such a versatile jacket you can wear for/with anything. It’s such a easy go-to date night look because it just instantly brings your outfit to another level and you feel so put together and chic. I love wearing it over tee’s or camis, but I also think it looks so pretty over dresses! This is one of those pieces in your closet that you will get so much mileage out of and you’ll just find yourself reaching for it all the time.
