With yesterday marking the first official day of fall, that also means football season + gameday parties are here! I’ll be the first to admit I’m not necessarily a die hard football fan, but I always love the experience of having friends over and enjoying quality time watching the game. It’s so fun and such a great excuse to get together with people. I know that hosting can sometimes seem intimidating or like it will cost a lot of money/take a ton of work, so I wanted to share some of our gameday essentials today + how to make hosting a little easier with Walmart. Hopefully this is helpful for y’all and gives you the encouragement to host a little bit more – maybe even for a game this weekend!
Like I said before, since I’m not always invested in the game we’re watching, I can say I am ALWAYS invested in the snacks haha. Please tell me I’m not alone in occasionally (okay most of the time) getting more excited about the food than the game. Michael and I are both big fans of easy, no-fuss, delicious snacks that we know anyone will like. Whether it’s queso or chili, we find ourselves using our Instant Pot and Crock-pot SO often during the fall, especially for gamedays! I love it because its’ super easy and tasty, but you can also just turn it on and not have to worry about messing with it while it cooks. It’s always stressful when you’re hosting to have to constantly be in the kitchen, checking on food, etc., which is a huge reason why we love using our Instant Pot any time we’re having people over. A lot of our favorite kitchen appliances and tools are from Walmart. Their selection + quality is incredible, and I honestly never find better prices elsewhere. So if you’re looking to grab a new Crock-Pot or any other kitchen items for an upcoming party, I highly recommend checking out Walmart’s selection.
I know that sometimes the work that can go into hosting can be enough to keep people from doing it. There’s prep work, cleaning, cooking, doing the dishes, etc. and it can be a little overwhelming. One of the best things about Walmart is that you can literally find everything you need in one place. Whether it’s chips + dip or plastic plates + cups, Walmart seriously has it all. We grab all of our gameday snacks and drinks from there because you can easily feed a lot of people without totally blowing your budget. Plus, that way, you don’t need to run to three different stores trying to get everything prepped. I love it and it saves so much time and money!
A few of our gameday essentials from Walmart:
There are about a million things I love about the fall, but I can honestly say hosting more often is definitely at the top of the list. There’s just something so happy about a living room full of your favorite people, enjoying a good football game with a bowl of chili in your lap. I love it and look forward to it every year! I hope today’s post gave you some good ideas for when you host your next gameday or other fall get together. Walmart truly has everything you could need, at a price you absolutely can’t beat. If y’all have any gameday essentials or fave recipes to make when hosting, let me know in the comments below! Thanks for reading!
