As y’all can probably tell from all of my beauty posts on here and instagram, I am constantly trying out new products. Whether it’s hair care or makeup, I love researching different beauty trends + brands and sharing all of my finds with y’all. But at the end of the day, regardless of how many different things I try, I always have my holy grails products that I keep coming back to and always have in my bathroom, For today’s post, I wanted to talk all about my 5 favorite hair products that I seriously can’t live without! These are products I have bought many times over the years and have truly become staples in my haircare routine.
preventing damage + breakage
Over time, I have definitely noticed how things like heat and color treatments can cause damage to my hair if I’m not careful. I typically only wash my hair twice a week, but I color it regularly and style it with a curling iron several times a week. All of that heat can definitely weaken my hair and cause damage/breakage. This Olaplex hair perfector has absolutely been a lifesaver for my hair! This is a super nourishing hair treatment that strengthens your hair and repairs any breakage. I usually try to do this once a week. I started using this treatment last year after hearing countless people rave about it, and I can wholeheartedly say it has lived up to the hype / become a haircare staple for me.
I’ve shared these before on Instagram, but y’all know I’m completely obsessed with these hair ties. I never reapplied this before, but a lot of hair ties can be too harsh on your hair, resulting in your hair literally breaking off. Since I work out a lot and need my hair up + secure, I had to find hair ties that were both gentle on my hair but still super effective. These hair ties are my ride or die, and I always have at least one on me no matter what. They don’t pull on my hair or cause any damage, and my hair stays secure no matter what workout I’m doing!
my go-to styling essentials
For years I have always dreaded blow drying my hair. It’s hot, takes forever, and usually leaves my hair nice and frizzy. But, since adding these next products into my routine, I can honestly say all of that has changed! The first thing I use when I get out of the shower is this microfiber hair turban. This helps your hair dry faster and minimizes frizz. It’s super lightweight and has a little button to help in stay in place. Some days this hair turban will be all I use to dry my hair and other days I’ll just wear this while I do my makeup before blow drying my hair. It’s just another great way to cut down on applying heat to your hair, plus it helps cut down on frizz and split ends. This little hair towel also makes an amazing gift for a girlfriend or sister!

Similar to what I assaying earlier about hair ties, I’ve also learned that the brush you use on your hair is SO important. I feel like everyone knows that heat and certain color treatments can cause damage to your hair, but the same can be said of certain brushes too. If a brush is too rigid or has the wrong bristles, it can actually cause breakage and frizz. That’s why I have been using the Wet Brush for several years now. This brush is the ultimate detangler; the bristles literally glide through your hair without snagging or making knots/tangles worse. Rather than getting caught on the tangles and forcing you to pull the brush harder, the wet brush gently works through the knots. The brush is so isnlel gentle on your hair and prevents breakage. One important note: I don’t use this brush when I’m blow drying my hair because the bristles would melt!
Lastly, I can’t say enough about my Dyson hair dryer. I’ve shared about mine on the blog before (type ‘Dyson’ in the search bar on the blog for those posts), but it has absolutely been worth the investment. Not only does it cut my drying time down to like 5-7 minutes, but it also leaves my hair SO smooth and sleek. This hair dryer is so effective, quieter than a normal hair dryer, and protects your hair from damage.

where to find the products
One of my favorite things about the products in today’s post is that they are all available at Walmart and super easy to order online! Over the last year or so, I’ve been SO impressed at the variety and quality of products that Walmart carries (see this post + this post for more faves). It makes shopping so easy and they’re constantly marking down their prices to ensure you get the best possible deal. If y’all have any beauty faves from Walmart that I need to know about, let me know in the comments. Thanks for reading!
This post was created in collaboration with Walmart. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own!
