prioritizing health in 2020 + importance of probiotics

“Drink more water. Eat your vegetables. Take a probiotic.” All things we all know are essential to a healthy body + healthy lifestyle. Like most of you guys, this year (and every year!) I’m really striving to focus on my overall health and to take care of my body. So about a month ago I started my journey in finding the perfect probiotic: ie one that actually works + makes a difference in my body and overall health! If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I love to #nerdout when it comes to anything health + wellness related. I like to do my research and know exactly what I’m putting into my body and how that product is really affecting me. To be honest, up until about a month ago, I would just go to the grocery store, find a gummy on the shelf that said “probiotic” and take that daily, thinking it was actually doing something for me lol. So pretty much all of 2019 I kept saying “I really need to start researching probiotics and find out what I should be taking.” We all know probiotics are good for you..but why? What can they actually do for us?!

While I was researching different probiotics, I found Seed and was really intrigued by this company…initially because of how science-based they are. The Seed scientific advisory board is made up of leading scientists and doctors with expertise in microbiome science, genomics, metabolomics, gastroenterology, immunology, nutrition, and human clinical research. So basically…I trust them when it comes to probiotics & gut health haha. (First I’m going to explain to you why I decided to try Seed’s Daily Synbiotic and then I’ll share the differences I’ve noticed in my body since starting to take this probiotic about 3 weeks ago!). I spent SO much time on the Seed website just learning about the microbiome, the bacteria in my body, etc and it was fascinating. I learned that our microbiome does SO MUCH, and the health of the bacteria in our body is critical to the health of our entire body—from heart to skin to metabolism to gut immune function. The microbiome plays an incredibly complex and critical role in helping us thrive in everyday life…so you can see why finding a legit probiotic is so important!

TBH, the other reason I started taking interest in finding a good probiotic is because of some stomach issues I’ve had over the past year. Sorry if this is TMI but I’m going there lol. When we travel, I have issues with being “regular” if you know what I mean…which ends up really hurting my stomach after a few days. I also had weird stomach problems on my long runs during marathon training. Everyone I talked to about my issues always asked about probiotics.

So one of my goals for the new year was to find a legit probiotic that actually works, and helped with some of my stomach issues. Like I mentioned, I’ve been taking the Seed Daily Synbiotic for about 3 weeks now and have noticed a tremendous difference in SO many different areas of my health – not just my digestion! Seed’s Daily Synbiotic is a probiotic + prebiotic formulation developed for systemic benefits. Think of this probiotic like “bacteria with benefits” – helps with digestive health, skin health, heart health, gut barrier integrity, gut immune function…just to name a few! I know this is alot of sciency things but hang tight to see what really hooked me on the Daily Synbiotic, and that all probiotics are not created equal!

After taking See’d Daily Synbiotic for a few weeks, I noticed a tremendous difference in my “stomach issues” I mentioned above. Even when we traveled! I also noticed that I felt so much less bloated, because the Daily Synbiotic supports digestive health. My skin has also felt + looked so much healthier, which I didn’t even know was possible to see that benefit from a probiotic! But the Daily Synbiotic includes strains that were clinically studied to promote a healthy gut-skin axis so, skin health is yet another benefit! Another thing I love about their probiotic is that it supports folate production which is crucial for any women out there that are either pregnant, nursing, or trying to conceive! Seed’s Daily Synbiotic includes probiotic strains that supports intestinal synthesis of folate and supports folate production in the body! I also noticed an increase in energy after consistently taking the Daily Synbiotic! ALSO I love that their starter kit comes with a little glass vial which is perfect for traveling!

I’m sure so many of you guys made New Year’s resolutions that are health / wellness related so I’ve been so excited to share Seed with y’all! You can start a subscription for $49.99 per month, and you can skip a month or cancel at any time! If you’re like me, I’m sure that number seems high if you’re used to just picking up a gummy supplement off the shelf at the grocery store as your “probiotic”. But if I’ve learned anything over these last few weeks it’s that all probiotics are not created equal, and Seed’s Daily synbiotic really has made a drastic difference in my overall health and life, so to me, it’s worth paying for! Let’s take this step towards a healthier lifestyle and taking care of our bodies in 2020!

Let me know if you guys have any questions in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer each one! You can also reach out to Seed’s customer care team (care@seed.com) with any specific questions. Thanks for reading!
