If you’ve been following me for a while, you know that sneakers are probably my #1 weakness when it comes to fashion (with jeans being a close second!). I wear sneakers probably everyday of my life – whether it’s for working out or going on walks with Shiloh. Today I wanted to share my top 5 athletic shoes with you guys and what I wear them for – whether that’s long distance running, orange theory type classes, or weight lifting!

Adidas Swift Run Casual Shoes

I have probably 3 pair of these Adidas shoes and wear them ALL the time. These are probably my favorite shoes for just everyday errands or going for walks with Shiloh. They are insanely comfortable and I LOVE how they look too. You could wear these in the gym if you’re doing something like the elliptical or rower or something that doesn’t require a lot of support. I personally wouldn’t recommend them for running though. But they definitely work for anything low impact or walking!

Adidas UltraBoost 20 Running Shoes

Y’all – believe the hype behind the Adidas Ultraboost. Not only do they LOOK awesome but they feel SO good on your feet. I love these shoes for running (I’ve gone for runs up to 8 miles long in the Adidas ultraboost and my feet felt great), and also for HIIT type workouts. (I’ve worn them to orange theory, shred415, barry’s, etc and they were great). If you’re looking for a running shoe that could also work for some cross training – these are a great option!

Nike React Infinity Run Flyknit

These are the shoes I’m wearing in this post and I LOVE them! Similar to the ultraboost I talked about above – these Nikes work for moderate to long runs IMO as well as HIIT training. The difference between these and the ultraboost IMO is that these nikes have more arch support (kind of just more support in general). So if that’s something you look for in a running shoe, I think you’ll really like these.

The longest I’ve run in these Nikes is about 5 miles and they worked well. I probably wouldn’t run much longer than that in these – I’d choose to run longer distances in the Adidas ultraboost but if you prefer good arch support, you’ll probably like these nikes more!

Nike Air Max 270

These Nikes are probably my favorite out of all 5 sneakers in terms of style + looks. I LOVE how they look! I wear them all the time for running errands or walks with Shiloh and they look so cute with leggings or athletic shorts. I also like these Nikes as my “gym workout” shoe. Any day I’m focusing on weights / weight training, I wear these because they have good support! I also wear these Nikes when I’m doing something like the stairmaster (or cardio that isn’t running). They do run small though in my opinion, so I’d suggest going up a half size!

Brooks Ghost 12 Running Shoes

Last but not least, my current favorite running shoe for long distance! I ALMOST ran my marathon in these and I wish I would have! They are SO cushy but not heavy at all and are great if you’re a neutral runner! I tried out about 6 different running shoes during my marathon training and Brooks were definitely my favorite (I like both the Ghosts and the Glycerins!) If you have a half marathon or marathon coming up…or if you’re trying to get more into running at all, I highly recommend getting a pair of Brooks Ghost!
