Happy Monday before Christmas friends! I’ve been planning out the Christmas desserts I’m going to bake this week for Christmas with Michael’s fam and then Christmas with my family! I have a few Christmas desserts I’ve made year after year that I want to share with y’all today…as well as a few new ones I will be trying this year! If you know me at all you know I have a MAJOR sweet tooth and have very high standards with desserts lol. So, know that these are either tried and true favorites or recipes I’ve saved after scouring pinterest for days!
favorite Christmas desserts
Mint Oreo truffles (recipe here) – I make these almost every single year and they are always a hit! If you like oreos, chocolate, and/or mint you will LOVE these. They are really simple to make too! They are VERY rich btw haha but I love them!
Christmas trash (recipe here) – My family makes “Christmas trash” every year and it’s probably my biggest weakness. I have a major weakness for a good salty / sweet combo and that’s exactly what this is. Pretzels, m&ms, peanuts, chex cereal etc all covered in melted white chocolate. MAGIC.
Candy cane chocolate swirl fudge (recipe here) – I made this fudge a few years ago and couldn’t believe how easy it was to throw together and SO yummy. My whole family loved it!
I also asked Lindy (my assistant!) for a few of their favorite Christmas desserts. Her recipes are below!
no bake chocolate espresso cheesecake: “my twin sister made this recipe for thanksgiving and it was heavenly. I literally think it could be my last meal of my life and i’d be happy haha. I’ve had dreams about it recently lol”
Andes mint cookies “my family also always makes these andes mint cookies and they might be the easiest cookies ever cus you just use a box of cake mix! they’re so good. “
(I have also made the andes mint cookies above and my family LOVES them! They are SO easy and yummy!)
new Christmas desserts I’ll be trying
Peppermint bark cookies – these are covered in white chocolate and sound AMAZING
Peppermint crunch puppy chow – another salty/sweet weakness of mine! This puppy chow looks delicious
Peppermint bark fudge – this looks like such a magical combination and the recipe says it’s only 7 ingredients and super quick to make!
Magic 5 cookies – these are oatmeal cookies that also have coconut, cinnamon, white chocolate and cranberries. YES PLEASE
Oreo peppermint crunch cookies – these look just like a delicious homemade chocolate chip cookie…but adding oreo and peppermint to the dough. The dough is actually made from white cake mix too so it looks pretty simple!
Reindeer chow – this looks similar to the ‘christmas trash’ recipe I shared above but maybe better? I will probably be trying this out this year!
Salted dark chocolate almond toffee – I mean. the title in and of itself….*drooling*
Does your family have any Christmas dessert recipes you make year after year? I’d love to hear some of your favorite Christmas desserts in the comments below! Thanks for reading!
