y’all the weather is finally cooling off here in dallas and these cold mornings are giving me LIFE! i go of a walk with saylor almost every single morning and i’ve been loving layering up with some new winter activewear faves that i wanted to share with y’all today.
before i dive into some of my winter activewear must-haves though, i wanted to quickly chat about morning routines! like i mentioned above, i go for a walk with saylor pretty much every morning to try and catch the sunrise, and this 30ish minute walk is always one of the highlights of my entire day. i know “morning routines” are such a hot topic / so trendy right now and can feel kind of overwhelming – especially if you’re a mom with little babies at home! so maybe your morning routine couldn’t incorporate a walk or maybe it could and you bring your baby with you! i just wanted to encourage you to add ONE thing to your morning each day that really helps you to feel grounded & allows you to set an intention for the day. maybe you just sit on your couch for 5 minutes before everyone wakes up and say a prayer or read a psalm or just take some deep breaths. my morning routine (including the morning walk) has been SO life-giving for me and really allows me to show up as my best self every day.

this is my go to running shirt on cold mornings & has been for YEARS now. i honestly hate running in long sleeves but this ls shirt is perfect for long runs and cold mornings because it wicks away moisture, breathes really well, but still helps to keep your core body temperature warm when its freezing outside! it's also really easy to layer underneath a jacket or a vest!

hands down my favorite puffer jacket i've ever owned. i love the semi-cropped length because it makes it just a little bit more 'cool' and feminine. it's insanely soft, keeps you warm, and i like that the hood is removable!

my favorite tights for running in the cold! they are high rise and don't slide down - and they keep you warm without making you HOT during your run, which is key! the quality is also so good - i've had some of my base pace tights for a few years now and still get so much use out of them.

my hoka obsession is REAL and i LOVED this new color in the clifton's! these are hands down the comfiest running shoe i have ever purchased. they have a lot of cushion without being too heavy and they legit feel like you're walking on clouds. i have these in at least 4 colors now and refuse to walk or run in any other shoe haha these are THE best!
